Malta Celebrates 40th Anniversary of the Unification Movement

On June 28, 2015, the Unification community in Malta celebrated 40 years since the founding of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity in 1975. Though the first missionaries began their work in 1973, the movement was not officially established until 1975, when it was registered as an association.
Malta Unificationists gathered for a Sunday service at the Waterfront Hotel in Silema. The service included a PowerPoint presentation of photos commemorating the Unification Movement’s activities since 1975. The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) National Leader in Malta, Bryan Corlett, led the congregation and stood as the emcee. Three early Unificationists—Patricia Grima, Francis Cassar and Marilen Milan—shared their testimonies of when they joined the movement.
As service concluded, Unificationists gathered for a buffet dinner at the hotel. Many took the opportunity to socialize and enjoy the celebration of God and True Parents’ presence in Malta.
