We are very happy to share with all of you the very good news that True Mother will be returning to the United States on Friday, May 22, 2015 and will spend several weeks with us here in America.
In 1973 when America was going through the Watergate Crisis, True Parents called on America to Forgive, Love and Unite, and to pray for 40 days for God’s grace. In an appeal published nationwide, True Father said:
“I have declared the next 40 days as a period of prayer and fasting by our members all over the world. In this we are determined to awaken our nation to this national emergency … Yet, this is also a great opportunity for America, an opportunity in which the American people can demonstrate America’s true greatness in faith and courage. “Why did God have no choice other than to establish the principle of living for the sake of others? I shall elaborate on this question. Let’s say you owed a favor to someone who was truly devoted to you. In that case, would you wish to pay back only fifty percent, or would you wish to pay back more than one hundred percent of what you owed? What would your original nature want to do in this case? Without a doubt, your original mind would desire to pay back more than one hundred percent. Because we have an original mind and can follow it, it is possible for us to be saved.
You need to know the reason why God, the King of wisdom, had no choice but to establish this principle of living for the sake of others. When living for the sake of others, you live eternally and you also prosper. And thereupon you can develop and grow. When you owe a favor, you pay it back, and it is utterly impossible to pay back just exactly what you owe. Your original mind desires to pay back more and spurs you on to truly devote your life to do so. You need to know that it is because you have such a heart that you can go to the kingdom of heaven.”

I am very grateful to read these quotes each day. I often wake up too early (2-4 am) and of course I have a list of worries to mull over, surely solving family problems and gaining world peace in my little head, while my body rolls around sighing and umphing. Recently I have taken to keeping my laptop nearby, and quietly opening it up to read HDH. Which of course puts me to sleep better than anything. Ooops, did I say that? What I mean is: I am comforted by my True Father’s words, and also by my True Mother’s speeches since 2012. I think I nod off because I find safety and belonging, and I go to sleep again like a good girl.

Today I meditate on these precious words and realize how profound they really are. “The family is a study guide that shows us how to connect ourselves to the kingdom of heaven.”
I think of the four great realms of heart…every word expressed here in todays quote exemplifies the essence of True Love and more so “One Family under God” I think of looking at every old man I see and really loving him as I would my grandfather…….what insight and wisdom I see in this thought from their generation……. I think of loving everyone in my own parents generation…in loving them, I feel their parental love for me.
I meditate on the line………I think of loving all the young people of this world like my own sons and daughters…..truly………..I will develop a parental for all humanity, then I think of our beloved True Parents with THAT kind of HEART for all of us, TRULY LOVING ALL of humanity ………transcending ALL racial political, religious social divides, and seeing us as ONE FAMILY UNDER GOD!……Suddenly, my eyes are opened to really understanding our True Parents heart, and why they have been so successful in ALL their endeavors, being able to move freely in heaven (spirit world) and on earth.
I see how True Father is working behind Mother pushing Her on from Spirit World….the sight is awesome, seeing into spirit world…..How much more we WILL accomplish if we develop this kind of love in our hearts.

When you receive the newsletter, please click “read more” and you are taken to the 40-day HDH page, the top most quote is the quote of the day. The newsletter is just a generic blurb. Somehow, I think we have gone past the time of prescribed prayer conditions. I pray for Mother every day. No one has to tell me to. I think about what the purpose is (why we were asked to do it). Father said we are past the time of indemnity. So, it is not an indemnity condition. Someone once said to me they think in terms of a “tradition” rather than a “condition.” One is ongoing. One is temporary. I see people suggesting other kinds of “conditions” such as service. What do the other people on this site think the purpose is? I am sure every member prays already for Mother. I wish the leaders would realize we are that mature.

There is also value in corporate prayer, a bunch of people making their offering at the same time.
I’m also not sure what the “time of indemnity” was. Is there a new teaching that sin can be liquidated without conditions? If so, please tell us more; I’d like to find an easier path or a more effective one.
True Father described himself as a scientific man who didn’t want any blind faith. So before I adopt a new idea or practice, I’d like a bit of explanation.

Shinyoung, you have the right idea. No apology necessary. Me too, I am not keen any more to be told yet another prayer condition. However, your reasoning is correct. This is a public site and we have in our forever growing organization members of all ages (spiritually) as well as members of all ages (physically). Therefore, I think we have to learn to adapt. Just because I am told to do something, or so it seems, that does not mean I have to do it, it is my choice. Me and my God. So, don’t worry I am fine.

Well said Ann-Maria, if our heart is right, then our prayer is right. It does not matter if we are asked to pray for a specific purpose within a time frame. It is better not to join in any prayer condition if our hearts are not united with the purpose. Unison prayer means United HEART.
That is the condition. True Mother we LOVE you and will always pray for you…and each other.

Dear Shinyoung,
This is the first chance I have had to get back to this area where members leave comments. I certainly did not want you to apologize to me for anything. I did not want to appear “Cained-out.” I noticed one brother asked about my comment about indemnity. I am sorry I don’t recall the year, but Father did actually declare the end of the era of indemnity. We (older members) helped Father go through the 21-year and 40-year courses to indemnify past failures. There was a time we reached the end, and Father said now we are pioneering (the Kingdom of Heaven). We used to do a lot of fasting, cold showers and other conditions. It is different now. I am not saying praying together for something is not good. It is, and is very powerful. I was just feeling sometimes we are asked to do conditions and I wonder if some leaders think we don’t do these things already (like praying for Mother, which I do every day). As for the new members who posted, it is good to have support in walking this path. God bless you all.

Like I said, I didn’t want this 40 day hdh newsletter to be mistaken as an intent by our leaders to push this condition on anyone. That’s all. Our team just wanted to be supportive of the call for a national level 40 day condition, which usually is given when a very specific, worldwide level event will be held, that could use the support of a specified condition. Hello my brothers and sisters in the USA. I’m from the UK across the pond. I like what Mark Johnson and Anne-Marie Mylar wrote. It brought back memories of when True Parents were leaving London for Essen in Germany to bless 8 couples in 1969. At the Airport, TF shook our hands and then returned to shake our hands again, as if he didn’t want to leave us. Another memory was during the Washington Monument speech at which I was present, when referring to kingdom building, TF said, “We have to build it with our own hands”. I had inspiration a while back that I would like to share. Instead of a 40 day pray condition why not encourage 40 days of service. Father was all about “Living for the Sake of Others” and building substantial things for Gods work. There are unlimited ways to serve from Small acts of kindness to the Sky is the Limit ways. All are important and can lead to something bigger. At the end of the time period folks could share their ways of serving with the larger group so we can all benefit and grow from the effort and then expand our service from there make it a way of life.

Mark, I am with you. Conditions of the heart may very well be more difficult to achieve than fasting, cold showers, and prayers.
Prayer is a way of life – it is our communication with God. Formal prayers or prayers while we walk, drive, or are active in some other ways are also a must in our daily life. However, I believe that in our providence today the following conditions would be very important:
Condition to make an effort to understand the person who has a very different opinion than mine
Condition to eliminate the resentment towards the person who hurt me
Condition to forgive the person who did me wrong
Condition to humble myself and serve the person that does not care or understand me
These are the condition of our “Completion Stage” of the providence. If we cannot accomplish this, we who have the knowledge of the Divine Principle and the words of True Parents – we are delaying the building of Cheon Il Guk by a very long time.

Thank you Anne-Marie for your suggestions! What you describe is a living action prayer in which we are (constantly) separating, removing satanic elements from within ourselves. In prayer itself, it is only a promise, a desire yet unfulfilled. And HP is waiting for us to forgive, love and unite. HP is always looking to see us united in His Love.

Isn’t it amazing how we are all connected somehow. I still get amazed, when I meet someone new and find the dots that connect us.
Our beautiful farm is down the river,towards trace branch. We call it a little piece of heaven on earth.the frontier nursing program still exists. The people too are still as wonderful as you remember them. Witnessing is easy here, even though it is considered the bible belt. Though I have to admit, that I have somewhat developed my own way of teaching people about the divine principle. Eventually I’m planning with our Fathers help, and all our helping spirits to take the whole ancestry of Leslie county with me to Korea. There are so many amazing things happening here and I’m so humbled that our Father, True Father and spirit world have so much faith in me.
