True Family Values Ministry, New York Welcome Address

Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, ACLC Co-Chair and FFWPU North America Continental Chair, gave the following message on Monday, December 7 at the True Family Values Ministry 20th Anniversary Celebration in New York.

Good evening everyone. I wish you a merry Christmas and happy and joyful holiday season with your family and church family members.

What can you do when God calls you 1:00am? Yes, you must respond. This is God’s call, no matter what kind of day we are having, or what kind of time we are in. We must answer this phone call for whatever God asks us to do. What are you going to do? Are you going to say, “Oh, sorry God, I have another appointment. I will talk to you when I wake up in the morning.” No, we cannot do that. If you really believe in God, you know we must respond immediately.

I got many phone calls. 1:00, 2:00, 3:00am, not pm. A few weeks ago, I met True Mother in Korea and I shared about the True Family Values Ministry Awards Banquet, telling her this year we will celebrate its 20-year anniversary in Chicago. True Mother recalled so many beautiful memories, of when True Father and True Mother traveled around the 50 states and made special trips to this True Family Values Ministry Awards Banquet five times. They strived to cultivate the American spirit.

America is not just founded by the Founding Fathers. God prepared this country for the last 2,000 years after Jesus. God prepared this nation, so we are product of God’s 2,000-year providence of restoration. This is the explanation of Father and Mother Moon.

So today we have God’s call. Let us wake up and let us lead this falling country once again. Let us be founding fathers and mothers and let us bring this country back to God’s side.

You remember last Christmastime, when True Mother gave a wonderful and great speech. True Mother still remembers how 330 pastors received her message, and True Mother wanted to come to this 20-year anniversary as the main speaker. She asked when it was, but had another special appointment and couldn’t make it. She said, “I will send my message to pastors and give a congratulatory message on the 20-year anniversary.” And I got a phone call at 3:00am. A call by True Mother.

“Rev. Kim,” she said. “I’m not going to send my message personally but I am sending my beloved daughter.”

A few minutes ago, as I was walking down the hall, I got another phone call from the United Nations. He said, “I heard True Mother is coming to Las Vegas next week. I am one of the NGO representatives from the UN. I’d like to come and I’d like to hear True Mother’s message.” So this is really the spirit world working, preparing to welcome True Mother. We are blessed because of you answering True Parents’ call and Heavenly Parent’s call. Today you are here, and you are the most blessed clergy, leaders and brothers and sisters, not only in Manhattan and not only in New York, but around this nation and around the world. I am greatly honored on behalf of our dear True Mother to welcome her beloved daughter, Sun Jin Moon.
