Washington, D.C. Family Church Blesses Couples at Health Fair
In partnership with the Washington, D.C. Department of Health and the Places of Worship Advisory Board (POWAB), the Washington, D.C. Family Church participated in a community health fair in Anacostia Park on Saturday, August 17. The event raised awareness about health issues, including HIV AIDS and the opioid epidemic. Volunteers from the Washington, D.C. Family Church were invited to set up a Blessing table at the fair to promote their solution: family values, fidelity in marriage, abstinence before marriage and centering families on God.
The table attracted many people, and by the end of the fair, the Washington, D.C. Family Church Blessed 40 couples, including three pastor couples and two Muslim leader couples. Ward 8 Councilmember, Mr. Trayon White, personally thanked the Washington, D.C. Family Church for taking part in the fair. According to Dr. Achille Acolatse, Pastor of the Washington, D.C. Family Church, the event was a great opportunity to testify to True Parents and the Blessing.
