Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Honolulu held a beautiful ceremony on February 6 for religious unity at the open auditorium of the Hawaiian Studies Department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in support of the UN Interfaith Harmony Week which takes place annually from February 1-7.
A total of 11 faith representatives we present; Bahai, Buddhism, Christianity, Hawaiian Religion, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism and Unificationism. The climax of the program was the water ceremony in which each representative poured the sacred water into a basin after prayer to signify the uniting of differences and religion.
Prior to the water ceremony, Dr. Saleem Ahemd, Founder of the All Believers Network, testified to True Father as “the pioneer and spearhead of the interfaith movement,” and, from True Father’s autobiography, an excerpt entitled “The Ultimate Purpose of Twenty-first-Century Religion.”
