UPF Dallas Marches for Traditional Marriage in 4th of July Parade
The Universal Peace Federation will be displaying their patriotic pride in the Irving 4th of July Parade this Saturday for the 10th year in a row. This year, their march will also signify taking a stance for one of their core beliefs, the sanctity of marriage in building world peace and the benefits of the 2-parent family as the “school of love.”
In the face of the recent supreme court decision to legalize gay marriage, the group plans to hold signs proclaiming their belief in marriage as between one man and one woman. They are aware of likely backlash, but confident in the importance of this timely message.
Anyone interested in joining should meet no later than 8 a.m. in Irving at the Southwest corner of O’Conner Rd. and Rock Island Rd. Look for staging area #82. It’s nearby. Parking is at the northwest corner of O’Conner Rd. and Rock Island Rd. in the DART parking lot. The parade will start at 9 a.m. and will last about an hour and a half. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat and bring water. We’ll celebrate together after the parade with free watermelon and music at Heritage Park, corner of 2nd St. and Main.
We hope to see you there! Bring the whole family!

Dear brothers and sisters
I can’t understand why we can’t advocate for “core values” of “traditional marriage” without denigrating other types of minority marriages.
Respectfully and with love
