True Family Values Dinner Builds Momentum in Washington, D.C.
More than 100 youth and adults gathered for an uplifting and joyful True Family Values Dinner hosted by the Washington, D.C. Family Church in the Beech Room at The Washington Times on Saturday, August 31. The event was in preparation for the upcoming Southeast subregion-wide True Family Values Banquet in November and the 30,000 Clergy rally in December.
Among the participants, 30 guests attended, including two pastors and three pastor couples. The keynote address was given by Rev. Louis Jones II of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., the first church visited by the Los Angeles Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) during their recent stay. He inspired the group with his message about family values and expressed his willingness to work with the Washington, D.C. Family Church in support of the clergy rally. Other pastors also conveyed their desire to join the rally and hold similar programs in their churches.
Next, Rev. Levy Daugherty, Atlanta Interim Senior Pastor, shared about the Marriage Blessing and the Washington, D.C. Family Church Children’s Choir moved the audience with a musical performance. The program concluded with a Blessing Ceremony officiated by the Washington, D.C. Family Church pastor couple, Dr. Achille Acolatse and Mrs. Katsumi Acolatse. The remainder of 2019 will be busy as the community prepares to welcome True Mother back to America.
