The following is a letter from Dr. Young Ho Yun, Secretary-General, Cheon Jeong Gung Headquarters on December 28, 2019 about True Mother’s World Tour and the 40-Day Cosmic Canaan Course for the Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk, which began on Monday, November 18, 2019 leading up to the Clergy Rally on December 28 in Newark, New Jersey.

May Heavenly Parent’s and True Parents’ blessings and grace be with you.

Today, on December 28, True Mother’s 40-Day Cosmic Canaan Course for the Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk, which began on November 18 has concluded as a grand victory. Today was the 40th day of True Mother’s Cosmic Canaan Course for the Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk and we have just 40 days left until the long-awaited (Foundation Day) 2020. I felt once again that there are no coincidences in the providence. I would like to first express my infinite gratitude to Heavenly Parent, True Father in Heaven, and True Mother who has led this 40-day course to a grand victory, that I can write about this precious day in this letter to Cheon Il Guk leaders and members all around the world with joy, excitement, emotion, and tears. Even if I had enough paper to fill the heavens and enough ink to fill the oceans I would not be able to write down everything I could about this course filled with tears. Even if I applauded until my hands wore out, I wouldn’t be able to express adequate congratulations for the victory that has arisen from the pain and suffering of this course.

In particular, the national restoration of seven nations, proclaimed during True Mother’s seven-year course from the time of True Father’s Holy Ascension until 2020, was completed through this remarkable speaking tour. Further, this course made it possible to take an amazing providential leap with the establishment of “heavenly nations” through national restoration and even the establishment of “heavenly continents” through continental restoration. True Mother walked this tearful course, exhausting herself and continuing to move forward even as her body suffered. She made it possible through the hope, wishes, victory, and blessings from this course to open an era of heavenly nations and heavenly continents unprecedented in providential history.

On the substantial foundation of these heavenly nations and heavenly continents, today was the historic day we firmly resolved and set off on the final course—the hopeful march forward toward a heavenly unified world. Therefore, with the title “The unstoppable tears on our course for a heavenly nation, heavenly continent, and heavenly unified world,” I wish to share with all Cheon Il Guk leaders and members around the world my report on the 40-day course and the Clergy Rally: A New Hope for a Heavenly Unified World.

The title of the Rally of Hope for Advancement of the Providence in Heavenly America was actually the “Peace Starts With Me Clergy Rally: A New Hope for a Heavenly Unified World.” However, to advance toward a heavenly unified world there is the prerequisite of a substantial foundation, which is the establishment of heavenly nations and a heavenly continent. In preparation for the 40-Day Cosmic Canaan Course, the people who knew the providential meaning behind it better than anyone else—the regional chairs and special emissaries from all seven regional groups—attended True Mother and united with the Cheon Jeong Gung Headquarters. We all resolved to absolutely be victorious this speaking tour. Using the national restoration course of São Tomé and Príncipe as its model, all the Rallies for the Advancement of the Providence in Cambodia, Taiwan, Niger, Tanzania, South Africa, Palau, and the Dominican Republic, had to be victorious to create the substantial foundation for the grand finale, the Clergy Rally: A New Hope for a Heavenly Unified World. Knowing this, all leaders prepared for the March Forward Rallies with hearts of utmost effort as if their lives were on the line. That resolve created the miracle of the amazing victory of not only heavenly nations but of a heavenly continent. Therefore, as soon as True Mother arrived in New York she said she already expected that the Peace Starts With Me Clergy Rally: A New Hope for a Heavenly Unified World would be a great victory.

After the Continental Blessing of Heavenly Africa in South Africa, True Mother came to America via Portugal and, as she recovered physically, she offered serious devotions in Las Vegas to prepare for this event. Then on December 26, after completing her devotions in Las Vegas, she came to New York to preside over the Rally. We entreated Mother to come to New York before Christmas and spend Christmas with the True Family, leaders, and members, however, True Mother firmly said she would spend this Christmas quietly thinking of God and Jesus as she offered the final devotions for this event. Looking back, this was for the historic message, written through True Mother’s tears, that she would proclaim today.

Yeon Ah nim of Hyo Jin nim’s family and Hoon Sook nim of Heung Jin nim’s family representing the True Children in heaven and Ye Jin nim’s family and Sun Jin nim’s family representing the True Children on earth came to East Garden to welcome True Mother. The heroes of Heavenly Africa, Senegal’s Sheikh Mansour Diouf and Prophet Samuel Radebe also arrived in East Garden and prepared to welcome True Mother. True Mother arrived to energetic cheers and, without resting even a little, listened to reports on the event preparations. She then spoke with Sheikh Mansour and Prophet Radebe separately and gave a precious message about the completion of Heavenly Africa.

Sheikh Mansour presented an official letter of appointment by President Macky Sall of Senegal, appointing Sheikh Mansour as his Special Advisor. Sheikh Mansour conveyed the message that the letter of appointment signified President Macky Sall’s will that he would attend True Mother and that Senegal would take the lead in advancing toward a Heavenly Africa and a Heavenly World. A commemorative photo was taken with the letter of appointment. Mother received the President’s heart of filial love, conveyed by Sheikh Mansour, with a very happy heart. Thinking of New York’s frigid weather, Mother asked her staff to buy jackets and scarves for Sheikh Mansour and Prophet Radebe. She is truly our gracious mother. I received True Mother’s order and, as their staff, spent time with them until late at night and bought them coats and scarves. What they received was not a coat and scarf but it was Mother’s warm love which cannot be expressed in words, so their coats and scarves must have been even warmer.

Later on, True Mother received a courtesy call from a special advisor to the Faith and Opportunity Initiative at the Office of Public Liaison at the White House. They had dinner together and Mother gave her love and talked to her about the direction America should take as a nation blessed by Heaven.

While preparing for this rally, True Mother had already given us explicit providential guidance and directions. Especially while True Mother was offering devotions in Las Vegas, she gave us some additional key directions. Therefore, the headquarters for a Heavenly USA prepared for this event as one body centering on President Kim and the Cheon Jeong Gung International Headquarters. The main outline that we discussed together was that through the December 27 conference we would discuss the situation of worldwide Christianity and its problems. At its conclusion, we hoped to bring the will of everyone who attended the founding of the World (Christian) Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC) into unity. We then mapped it out that we would hold a rally on December 28 with True Mother present and with Christian ministers and believers from around the world, with the concept of it being the inaugural event for WCLC.

The founding of ACLC for the sake of enlightening America was a great challenge several years ago, and it was also a grand challenge to found KCLC this year. However, I think the inauguration of WCLC transcended a “great challenge” and became the “epitome of a great challenge.” Because at the other end of the providence, True Parents’ will in 1954 was to unite global Christianity through the Holy Spirit (the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity). That will must be completed on the substantial foundation of today’s World Clergy Leadership Conference.

First, on December 27, the conference for the inaugural convocation of the historical World Clergy Leadership Conference had a successful opening. A total of more than one thousand—more than 600 Christian clergy from 70 nations around the world and more than 400 Christian clergy from America—gathered to launch a space for dialogue centering on our Heavenly Parent, for the sake of a Heavenly Unified World. From Korea more than 160 Christian clergy attended as well as large numbers of renowned Christian leaders from Japan, Central and South America, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. Renowned ministers also attended from the World Council of Churches (WCC), the largest Christian organization in Europe, the region in which Christianity developed early on. This was the fruit of the amazing unity that our leaders from each region have worked so hard for. Representative members of ACLC of a Heavenly America, which is our movement’s “council of Christian leaders” in the position of elder brother, participated in an amazing “event in the Holy Spirit” centered on True Mother.

The opening ceremony began at 10:00 in the morning and Dr. Luonne Rouse, Co-chairman of ACLC, emceed. The opening ceremony started with a joint prayer by representative Christian ministers. Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Co-chairman of ACLC, gave the welcoming remarks and six representatives of each continent and religious group gave keynote speeches. In his welcoming remarks, Co-chairman Dr. Kim clearly explained why True Mother prepared this conference and rally. The audience was touched and applauded. Then Dr. Michael Jenkins, International President of UPF, introduced the special advisor to the Faith and Opportunity Initiative at the Office of Public Liaison at the White House, who gave a special address. She first referred to the dinner she had shared with True Mother the day before and expressed her gratitude. She also spoke about the first time she met President Trump 18 years ago. She enthusiastically shared why God has blessed America and the direction that this blessed nation and Christianity must take, to which she received loud applause. After her message, I greeted her briefly backstage. As soon as she met me, she once again expressed her appreciation for True Mother. I could feel her deep respect for True Mother and I was truly grateful toward her.

Then, Christian leaders representing each continental region gave their keynote speeches. Each person introduced the current situation and problems with Christianity in their continent and we learned why it was necessary to found WCLC centering on True Mother. In order, the addresses were given by Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., representing the United States, KCLC Co- chairman Rev. Su Man Kim, representing Korea, and Prophet Samuel Radebe, representing Africa. For Prophet Radebe, there is no beating around the bush when it comes to testifying to True Mother. He confidently and concisely professed to Christian clergy from around the world that True Mother is God’s Only Begotten Daughter, the unmistakable True Mother, and the “glue” that will unite the world. It was an invaluable show of filial heart.

Following were Rev. Dr. Peniel Jesudason Rufus Rajkumar from the World Council of Churches, representing Europe, Nepalese advisor to the Vatican Charles Mendies, representing Asia, and finally, Metropolitan Archbishop Gonzalo Xavier Celi Almeida from Ecuador, representing Latin America. Different in every way, in terms of their race, culture and nationality, it was an amazing and harmonious moment during which they all united within the ideal and vision of one family under God.

The finale of the opening ceremony was the signing of the Declaration for the Inaugural Convocation of the World Clergy Leadership Conference, a countermeasure to the current divided situation of Christianity. Twenty-four Christian representatives came out to the stage to sign and Dr. Thomas Walsh and I signed the declaration as the hosts. This historic moment was then captured in photographs.

This concluded the morning session and in the afternoon there were three sessions at which representative Christian leaders from all over the world presided. These sessions were also meticulously planned and ultimately tied to the inauguration of WCLC. The first session’s theme was “God’s Will and World Christianity,” the second was “The Role and Responsibility of Christian Clergy for a Heavenly Unified World,” and the final and third session was “The Vision of Christian Clergy to Realize One Family, One Nation, and One World Under God.” Twelve renowned Christian leaders, representing each continent and each religious group, gave amazing insight and determination. It was truly a revival. To encourage the speakers, the ministers shouted out, “Yes!” “Amen!” and “Hallelujah!” It was more than a conference; it was a revival from opening to closing. Moreover, I could feel God at the center of this revival, as well as the presence of True Father in heaven and of True Mother. Today’s conference was the foundation of faith for the following day. We have learned in the Divine Principle that we can perfect the foundation of substance when we perfect a foundation of faith. Today, a perfect foundation of faith was established for tomorrow’s victory. Lastly, we enjoyed a banquet, prepared on the first floor of the Manhattan Center, to bring our historic day to a close.

True Mother was so curious about the conference that she forgot to eat dinner and was waiting for me to give her a report. She was that anxious but also patient as she waited all day. Only after she received a detailed report did she eat a few bites of her dinner.

Finally, the day dawned for the December 28 “Peace Starts With Me Rally for a Heavenly Unified World.” True Mother woke up earlier than ever and we had breakfast and a report session with Yeon Ah nim, Jeong Jin nim’s family, FFWPU for a Heavenly USA Regional President Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Chief of Staff of True Mother’s Secretariat Wonju McDevitt, and myself. Jeong Jin nim’s 16-month- old daughter, Shin-bi nim did cute tricks that brought true laughter to her grandmother, True Mother. In addition, Mother reexamined the day’s entire program and offered her last devotions in the morning. At 2:00 she departed East Garden and headed to the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Christian ministers began to enter the auditorium from 1:00 p.m. It was a full house. More than 600 clergy from around the world, more than 1,200 clergy from the United States and some 25,000 Christian believers gathered together.

The core of today’s rally of hope program may look quite simple, but it connotes not only the 6,000- year history of restoration but also tremendous significance that concludes something in True Parents’ lives. The crux of today’s program is that True Mother substantially established the World Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC) and that we will be celebrating True Parents’ Holy Birth on the foundation of this substantial inauguration.

True Mother has repeatedly spoken about how Jesus and True Parents were meant to be born on a national foundation, and particularly on the prepared Christian foundation. The 2,000-year Christian history since Jesus’ time was Heavenly Parent’s devotion and love to welcome the True Parents. Sadly, the prepared Christian foundation failed to welcome the True Parents. Instead, they criticized and persecuted True Parents through their lack of understanding. True Father had to even go through suffering in Danbury Prison here in the United States, a nation that God had blessed for the sake of Christianity. We are all well aware of the painful and bitter circumstances they went through. And this is why True Parents established the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity in 1954 as an alternative path for the completion of Christianity’s mission. We all know what an organization of tears this has been for True Parents, who had to personally establish their foundation because the prepared Christian foundation had not fulfilled its mission. The Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity, which they directly founded, also ended up going by the name, “Unification Church” in the world, and could not fulfill its mission of uniting the Christian foundation as Heaven had prepared. Instead it became a target of criticism, contempt, and persecution. True Father has repeatedly said and emphasized that the name of the church to unite world Christianity is the “Unification Church.” Again, it was not able to fully conduct its mission due to the strong opposition from Christianity, causing much pain and causing True Parents to follow a course of suffering. As a result of such difficulties in accordance with the development of the providence, 40 years later True Parents founded the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification. Through it, they created the way for family salvation, beyond individual salvation. Yet, we clearly know through True Father’s words that deep down in one corner of his heart, True Father still carried the pain of not being able to fulfill the mission and calling of the Unification Church.

True Mother’s resolve to complete True Father’s unfinished work brought her to advance in the providential direction of once again striving to substantially unite the Christian foundation. In June, True Mother walked the model course for the restoration of religious groups centered on Prophet Radebe in South Africa. Upon her return to Korea after conducting the 100,000-person Blessing Ceremony, True Mother gave the following heavenly command at the Victory Celebration, “Now, you should confidently go to mega churches and testify about True Parents, particularly to True Mother, God’s Only Begotten Daughter.” Even though we had witnessed True Mother’s model course, we could not have courage in the face of True Mother’s heavenly command because of the trauma our movement had experienced in the past in relation to Christianity. It was then that True Mother gave the wise guidance of establishing KCLC through ACLC. In absolute obedience to True Mother’s words, the Cheon Jeong Gung International HQ, FFWPU-Heavenly USA, and FFWPU-Heavenly Korea launched the Korean Clergy Leadership Conference (KCLC). And this has led to the amazing and miraculous moment of the establishment of WCLC today.

Behind True Mother’s confidence was her certainty of the truth. I will further elucidate on this later when I am given the opportunity to report, but it is premised upon the whole interpretation of ‘the doctrine of God’ and ‘Christology,’ which are the core of Christianity. It is based on the expanded and extended interpretation of the doctrine of God and Christology, which includes True Mother’s doctrine of God that clarifies that God is not only God the Father, but also God the Mother, and hence God is our Heavenly Parent. It also includes Christology centered not only on the male-centered God’s Only Begotten Son, but also God’s Only Begotten Daughter together with God’s Only Begotten Son for the completion of the ideal of True Parents.

Here again lies another conviction–the conviction that the unity of world Christianity can come about through the Holy (divine) Spirit. In other words, this is based on the conviction that world Christianity can become complete through True Mother, who is the substantial Holy Spirit. Today’s rally of hope was possible because of True Mother’s firm belief and conviction. As the person who plans these events after receiving True Mother’s directives and guidance, this is something I am so well aware of. In addition, I also clearly know that this great victory would have not been possible were it not for Dr. Ki Hoon Kim’s faithful resolve, the devotion of our leaders and members in the United States, and the dedication of our ACLC clergy.

Today’s rally of hope began at 2:00 p.m. with praise and worship. The event was already a revival due to the praise, worship and dance. Everyone felt they were brothers and sisters under God. Seeing joy beaming from each other’s faces and singing songs of praise and worship together brought everyone closer in heart.

The song and dance performance entitled “Our Hope is Unity” that was presented by the second-generation members of Heavenly USA in particular was the performance that best expressed our sincere hope for unity in Korea and unity of the world. Next, a representative of the New Jersey mayor presented True Mother with a special award. Dr. Ki Hoon Kim then gave the welcoming address. Dr. Kim explained how for the past two years the holy flame of peace set off in New York, passed through Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Washington, D.C. and was finally back in New York centered on Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace. After his explanation, he called everyone to unite and spread the fire of peace through living for the sake of others as True Parents have taught. He received thunderous applause in response. Following his welcoming address, two keynote speakers gave wonderful speeches for the historic inauguration of WCLC. The first keynote speaker was Prophet Samuel Radebe. His speech began with the following words: “Beloved True Mother, the Only Begotten Daughter.” Prophet Radebe not only made a confession of faith, but also clearly explained why True Mother was founding the historic WCLC on this day. This was followed by his confession of faith as he explained why True Parents had spent 40 years in the USA and took on a sacrificial path, and emphasized the mission of the clergy, who have received God’s calling. What he said next was the most moving:

Two years ago, Prophet Radebe did not recognize True Mother as True Mother and the Only Begotten Daughter. He was hurt by his interaction with our leaders and was pushing us away. However, through the love of True Mother, the substantial Holy Spirit and under its direct dominion, he became a child of filial heart (Hyojeong) fully inheriting True Mother’s love, and he became a soldier of filial love who would go anywhere for True Mother.

After a beautiful song came the address of Bishop Noel Jones, another righteous person. Here is a transcript of what he said:

Through these two prophets, these two righteous people, the audience beamed like a field of sunflowers focusing on True Mother. And amid their enthusiastic cheers, the Only Begotten Daughter, our True Mother, finally came up onto the stage. As I watched her stepping onto the stage, she looked heroic. And True Mother, standing at the podium, spoke in tears with a heart that cannot be described in words. Even as I write this letter, I cannot control my tears. This is the content of True Mother’s speech:

True Mother’s tears were flowing the whole time she was speaking. In all those years attending her, I have never seen her cry this much. Her sobs touched the deepest recesses of my heart. True Mother’s tears went from heart to heart, not only to mine, but to the hearts of all of those who were attending, even reaching those who could not listen closely. We know very well that there are incalculable and profound reasons for Mother’s tears: True Parents loved and visited America throughout their lives as firefighters and doctors, yet they had to go through persecution including Father’s imprisonment in Danbury. Mother endured True Father’s Holy Ascension and much suffering in its aftermath. Mother felt pain from her children, including us, who could not understand her. Moreover, there was her course of seven years which she walked alone, believing in national restoration, and the entire journey of the 40-Day Cosmic Canaan Course for the Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk. All of these times and stories are melted into her tears.

Personally, when she mentioned the Holy Wedding of True Father and True Mother, when she mentioned True Father’s name with a strong and desperate voice, “Sun Myung Moon,” when she said these three words “Sun Myung Moon” my heart was painfully torn apart and all I could do was let my tears flow. As True Father has also said, it is possible to shake the world with just the three words of his name, it is the name that has received so much persecution from Christians, and today, thanks to True Mother, that name has been recognized as a Holy Name in front of Christian clergymen and women gathered from all around the world. Just how happy would True Father be watching this moment from the spirit world? I couldn’t stop thinking of True Father’s face, smiling so joyfully that his eyes could not be seen. Especially Chairman Luonne Rouse and Archbishop Stallings created a duet ensemble repeating “Yes!” and “Amen!” Every time True Mother showed her tears, we looked at each other and also let our tears flow. We were brothers one in heart.

Beloved leaders and blessed families!

Who is the one completing True Father’s legacy?

Who is delivering the True Father’s heart (shimjeong) to us?

Yes, it is True Mother.

Then who can say to True Mother she is walking a different path from True Father, who can say she is seeking to elevate herself, leaving True Father behind? True Father is True Mother’s sole vision. Completing True Father’s legacy is all she sees. Because our True Mother is one with our True Father. I heard from Wonju McDevitt later that during the stay in East Garden True Mother spent a lot of time in True Father’s library. Wonju McDevitt would open the door quietly and see her sitting there in silence for hours. We do not know whether Mother was offering devotions or meditating. She would not move from where she was seated. After listening to True Mother’s speech, I feel I understood the reason.

After True Mother spoke, second-generation children presented her with lovely bouquets of flowers. There followed the historic inauguration of the World (Christian) Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC). First, some 40 people representing each continent and each religion came up onto the stage with True Mother in the center. ACLC co-chairman Dr. Ki Hoon Kim and Prophet Radebe then presented True Mother with the WCLC founding resolution, which had been adopted by the conference participants the previous day. This was followed by the historic ceremony of Mother adding her final signature to the document. Mother then personally bestowed medals and plaques on the 13 members of the WCLC steering committee. These medals and plaques are holy items, which Mother had instructed to be prepared with great care before she departed on her speaking tour. True Mother, the substantial Holy Spirit and Only Begotten Daughter presented the medals and assignments to each person with all her heart, warmth and love, indemnifying and embracing with love the past 2,000 years of Christian history.

It seemed to me that True Mother had bestowed on them with the earnest heart that from now they would become the true messengers of the Holy Spirit centering on True Mother. Mother sounded the gong three times to announce the founding of the last historic WCLC. With the ringing of the gong, the mission of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity (HSA-UWC) was substantialized by the inauguration of the World Clergy Leadership Conference (WCLC). And on the foundation of the organization’s inauguration, True Mother cut a cake to celebrate True Parents’ Birthday and received a gift. It was a historic moment indeed, indeed a moment transcendent of history. This was an amazing moment when the tears that were shed by True Father and by True Mother, sown as seeds, are now producing their fruit. I was watching Mother from a distance, and my heart ached to see her tears flowing constantly and not being able to wipe them away. “Father! Mother has achieved victory. Mother has completed your legacy! Aju.”

True Mother’s tears did not stop even in the car on the way back after the event. Beloved leaders, and blessed families! We should reflect on the meaning of True Mother’s tears. We should engrave their meaning in our hearts. We should know that True Mother’s unstoppable tears are Heavenly Parent’s and True Father’s tears. Those tears resonate together, that is why even after six hours have passed from the conclusion of the event, I am still in my tie writing this letter.

Tomorrow with the closing of the victory celebration, True Mother will return to the palace in Korea, and this will be the conclusion of the 40-Day Cosmic Canaan Course for the Firm Establishment of Cheon Il Guk. However, she is not returning to relax, she is returning to offer 40-days of devotion for the upcoming 2020 events. I ask each one of you leaders and blessed family members to offer devotions for True Mother’s health and safe return.

And finally, through this letter I would like to ask one favor of you. At least at this very moment, observe your breathing and think about True Mother’s heart (shimjeong), how she would have felt today, and once more, read her letter to True Father [reproduced below]. Thank you.
