The Fifth Japanese Workshop at IPEC
From January 19 to 26, over 120 Unificationists gathered at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) for the fifth 7-day Japanese Divine Principle workshop. Although the previous workshops have primarily been in Japanese, the organizers of this event were able to translate its content to make it accessible for English-speakers. As with previous workshops, the week allowed Unificationists to delve deeper into the Divine Principle and True Parents’ life course, re-experiencing the content that inspired them to join the Unification movement. In addition to lectures on True Parents’ life course and their family’s course, the workshop included trips to Red Rock Canyon and the Mojave Desert.
REFLECTION
“We all have to listen to these lectures, especially True Parents’ course. It’s not just the linear chronology of True Parents’ lives; it’s an explanation of why True Parents did everything they did. We were also moved by Rev. Masayuki Kachi’s explanation of True Children’s course. He connected everything to where we are today with regards to tribal messiahship and everything else.”–Demian Dunkley, Northeast Subregional Director
“The level of detail in these lectures gave me more power, mentally, to build upon a profound foundation that God has built through True Parents. The repeated courses True Parents have taken for human kind are truly incredible.“–Rev. Ernest Patton, Southeast Subregional Director
“The reason True Parents are our true parents is because of what they did. When you hear their life course, which many Unificationists haven’t heard in years, it’s really transformative.“–Rev. Richard Buessing, President of Family Federation for a Heavenly USA
