Local Unificationists Bring the Heart of Korea to California
On Saturday, November 2, San Lorenzo, California resident and Unificationist Kikuno Allen and friends held a Korean Cultural Event at the San Lorenzo Public Library. Around 60 guests, library visitors and Unificationists came to enjoy the festivities, which included a variety of Korean cultural performances, emphasizing the importance of family and parent-child relationships as the foundation for a true culture of heart.
The program began with a performance of “Arirang,” a spirited song embodying the unique energy of the Korean people, followed by a Tong Il Moo Do martial arts demonstration by a group of young Unificationists. The event concluded with a musical puppet show rendition of the beloved Korean folktale Shim Chong, highlighting the heart of historical Korean culture.
