Last Chance to Appear on IPEC Donors’ Wall
Just two years ago, on May 30 2015, our True Mother cut the ribbon to open the International Peace Education Center in Las Vegas. Early in the morning, she brought a special set of new clothes for True Father into True Parents’ suite, symbolizing him taking residence in this magnificent building, his final great project in the United States. After sanctifying the entire facility with holy salt, she planted an olive tree to symbolize the new life brought by the Divine Principle word. In her dedication prayer that day, True Mother said:
“Father, please bless this palace today to be the place in which people not only from this country but also from around the world can live together with Heavenly Parent and True Parents, as well as feel and experience You working here. We dedicate this palace for that purpose. I sincerely pray that Your dreams will come true.”
Since then, we’ve had many great educational programs at IPEC. There’ve been almost 20 monthly seven-day Divine Principle workshops, and about the same number of four-day True Love Seminars, both taught by Rev. Andy Compton and including popular outings to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon.
We’ve been getting more international, too. This year alone there’ve been two large-scale Divine Principle workshops in the Japanese language (with a third one coming in May), featuring two of the top educators from our sister church in Japan. We’ve had workshops in Korean and Spanish, and French and Russian are also planned. And of course we’ve had several major leaders’ meetings, including the just-completed Famicon Pastors’ Assembly and the High Noon Summit. Other organizations are increasingly renting space and IPEC is getting a good reputation as one of the best non-casino venues in Las Vegas.
We’ve always been very proud of the fact that our USA membership was able to donate a significant portion of the funds needed to build IPEC. We’ve already created a temporary installation of our donor’s wall, listing everyone who gave in the following major levels: Platinum (over $100,000), Gold ($50,000), Silver ($10,000), Bronze ($5,000), Supporter ($2,500), and Sponsor ($1,000).
Since then, a number of people have given further generous donations and others have asked if they could give more so as to “move up” a level. A small number have let us know that we missed them off, or got their name wrong. Sorry! In order to make needed corrections and to accommodate these most welcome requests to make new donations, we’ve decided to open the donation campaign for one final month only: from today, April 28th to May 31st. After that, the list will close and the permanent donor wall installation will be completed. To check your donor listing for accuracy, or to make or increase a donation, please visit www.familyfed.org/ipecwall. Remember, this option is only available until May 31, 2017!
