Las Vegas Divine Principle Workshop Begins

The latest 7-day Divine Principle workshop in Las Vegas kicked off on the evening of Saturday, November 21, with dinner at the International Peace Education Center. Rev. Andrew Compton, education director at the Peace Center, welcomed nine participants of all ages, who spent Saturday evening getting to know each other, hearing an introduction to the Divine Principle and then discussing and reflecting the night away.
“It’s so nice to connect with people from all of the nation and the world,” remarked one of the participants. “This workshop is a fantastic way to close out 2015, usher in 2016 and refresh yourself with the Divine Principle.”
Some participants came with family, but all determined to create a sense of family with this small group dedicating their Thanksgiving week to studying the Divine Principle. The entire Las Vegas Unificationist community made them feel at home as well. On Sunday, they were invited to a community barbecue at the Las Vegas Family Church, where they were greeted and celebrated.

They also studied the Principle of Creation and the Human Fall before dinner that day. On Monday, November 23, the group had a full day of lectures spanning the Last Days, the Messiah, Resurrection and Predestination, amid small breaks during which the group played sports or explored the Peace Center.
Everyone is looking forward to outings this week, including visits to Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Grand Canyon. On Thursday, they will take part in a Thanksgiving feast.
These Divine Principle getaways run through December 2015. If you’d like to attend the next one, register at the link below!
