Join the Next UTS Faculty Roundtable Series
The Unification Theological Seminary (UTS) recently launched the Faculty Roundtable Series, a monthly event dedicated to presenting current academic research conducted by UTS faculty, alumni, and students. Each month will feature a new speaker and topic.
Dr. Thomas Ward, UTS President and Professor of Peace and Development, kicked off the Faculty Roundtable Series on November 5 with a presentation on the adverse impact of activities in local U.S. municipalities on Korean-Japan Relations.
On Tuesday, December 3, Dr. Andrew Wilson, Professor of Scriptural Studies will investigate the reasons why Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founder of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), chose to define her identity as the Only Begotten Daughter. He will present his theory and invite other participants to share their views. Dr. Wilson completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Harvard and served as Editor of World Scriptures: A Comparative Anthology of Sacred Texts (1998) and World Scriptures and the Teachings of Sun Myung Moon (2007). He is also the Editor of the Journal of Unification Studies and has played a key role in the translation and adaptation of key Unificationist literature from Korean to English. His lectures and writings on the Only Begotten Daughter have attracted widespread attention both within and beyond Unificationists.
The Faculty Roundtable is open to the public and will include time for discussion and refreshments following the presentation. Join the next monthly Faculty Roundtable Series at 4 West 43rd Street, New York, New York to explore a variety of topics and engage in stimulating dialogue.
