Inauguration of the Sunhak Institute of History USA
An historic inauguration was announced at the National Ministry Team’s monthly meeting: the launching of the Sunhak Institute of History USA. Dr. Michael Mickler, a primary historian for the Unification Movement in America, accepted his position as the Director of the new organization.
Dr. Mickler shared with the Unificationists in attendance the vision of the Sunhak Institute of History USA: “ to be a vehicle for people to experience the living presence of True Parents and the reality they are introducing into the world.” Dr. Mickler has already developed a strategy for the collection and preservation of important artifacts and stories that encapsulate True Parents’ work and heart for America.
Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Continental Chairman of FFWPU, spoke about the significant role America plays not only in the historical documentation of True Parents’ legacy, but also in moving humanity and the world back in to God’s embrace. “America must live for the sake of the whole world—not only for the physical world, but for our ancestors in the physical world and the entire cosmos,” said Dr. Kim. “We are the only people attending True Parents. Without us, this country, this world, cannot move forward toward God.”

FFWPU President Rev. Richard Buessing also encouraged families to be involved in making True Mother’s upcoming global rally in Korea as impactful as it can be. “By being in Korea or making offerings, we are going to bring a great change to God’s fatherland,” said Rev. Buessing. “Let us go forward with a prayerful heart and mind!”

Rev. Michael Jenkins, Co-Chair of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) provided more insight into the preparation that is taking place for this historic global rally. With beautiful images of interfaith unity from this past month’s ACLC events on display, Rev. Jenkins shared deeply about the potential of this rally to move Korea and the world a step closer to unification.

Tom McDevitt, the President of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) International, detailed the latest UPF activities within America, which included the celebration of the International Day of Peace throughout various locations across the nation. “Through all we do, we must recognize True Mother’s leadership on a day-to-day basis,” said Mr. McDevitt.

Demian Dunkley, Director of Witnessing and Education, delivered a comprehensive overview of the progress of tribal messiahship in America. In his update, Demian invited everyone to become a part of TribeNet, the global network of Tribal Messiahs. Since Tribal Messiahship is not just an individual effort, TribeNet facilitates consistent communication with different tribal messiahs worldwide. Through sharing testimonies, conference calls, and updates on everyone’s progress, the people of TribeNet are able to feel they are not alone in their journey to bless 430 couples for True Mother. Rev. Hiroshi Inose, Director of Kodan, discussed the recent completion of the fourth Japanese-speaking Divine Principle Workshop at the International Peace and Education Center (IPEC). With a warm and grateful heart, he attributed the success of the workshop, which had a maximum number of applicants, to True Parents and their relentless efforts to bring people to God.

Angelika Selle, President of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) USA, shared her inspiration from last month’s WFWP retreat in IPEC. The purpose of the workshop, explained Angelika, was to inherit True Mother’s heart and to put this heart into action. For the full story, click here!
