In Loving Memory of Keith Cooperrider
A very successful and moving National-level Seonghwa Ceremony took place for Keith Cooperrider on Saturday, June 29 at The Washington Times Building in Washington, D.C. to honor the source of Keith’s faith and foundation. The stage was decorated with many flower arrangements that Unificationists and their communities sent for the Seonghwa.
The Cooperrider family was impressed to see guests from all over the country in attendance, such as Larry Beasley and his wife from Florida, Koichi Nakai from New York, President of The Washington Times Christopher Dolan and other co-workers, and Rev. Richard Buessing from New England who read President of Family Federation for a Heavenly USA, Rev. Demian Dunkley’s letter to the audience
Testimonies were given by Mr. Beasley who spoke about Keith’s love of faith, family and freedom, Dr. Michael Jenkins, Chairman of Universal Peace Federation, who honored the wisdom and faith of True Parents and explained life in the spirit world, Thomas McDevitt, Chairman of the Board of Directors at The Washington Times, and Keith’s spiritual mother Lisa Take who described Keith’s strong character.
A surprise gift from True Mother, a handwritten calligraphy, was framed and presented to the Cooperrider family in recognition of Keith’s devotion.
Mrs. Sara Cooperrider and all three children took to the stage to share about their family’s gratitude to the Unification movement and how moved they were by the the beauty of the Ceremony and the vast love of True Parents

I knew Keith when I was a young member living in Washington doing research for Ms. Kim. We all ate our meals together. Decades later, I made eye contact with him across a crowded room. He recognized me and waved hello. I will always love Keith.
