In 1984, during our 120-days missionary workshop, we had many chances to be with True Parents and Col Han translating. Always I was very moved by his warmhearted translation that transmitted True Father’s heart so deeply. I always remember Col. Han dearly.

Col. Han translated for me many times to True Father during the church legal battles in those early years in New York—-especially True Father’s tax case. His was always a calming voice and presence that helped relieve tension during those difficult times. Thank you Col. Han and God Bless!!

The American Family Federation for World Peace and Unification blessed families are deeply grateful to the faith, attendance and support Col. Sang Kil Han and his family gave for True Parents. The elders of the American movement have a deep bond of heart with Col. Han because he translated for Father on so many occasions with such a beautiful heart and command of the English language and understanding of the America is such a way that American’s were deeply connected to Father and Mother’s heart through him. Even in the most challenging times in the American providence in which True Parents shed their blood , sweat and tears to save America, he was always there with an unchanging heart for God and True Parents and for all members. We know that many blessings will flow to and through his family from True Parents for countless generations because he gave his life and whole being to comfort Heaven and bring victory for True Parents, in the spiritual work, business and in every arena. He is a victor of Heart and Love. Thank you sincerely, Col. Han for helping us understand True Parent’s love and heart. We are eternally grateful ! With True Parents’ Love, Michael and Reiko Jenkins

Col. Han was such a wonderful part of True Parents Family in America. Even though he was one of the 36 Couple Blessing Korean Elders, he was always friendly and approachable and made you feel welcome and at home. He had a heart of love, even in difficult circumstances. Thank you, Col. Han for all you did for True Family, for True Parents, and for the American Family. Sending Love and Prayers!

I was deeply moved to see the beautiful Memorial tribute to Col. Han, which was fittingly held at the Belvedere Training Center in Tarrytown. How wonderful to see the many East Garden staff members, who came to love Col. Han, who was always a gentleman. I was very fortunate to have become very close to the family, when Mrs. Han arrived from Korea, with their children, and began living at Gracemere Lodge in Tarrytown in 1977. I spent countless hours in their home, as English teacher/companion, mostly to Jung Sook, who was 10, during the next year. It was a magical time, with so many amazing experiences. One included driving Hong Halmoni (True Mother’s mother) home to East Garden one day, Another was when I helped Mrs. Han and Mrs. Mal Sook Lee prepare dinner for True Parents in their home and I had a touching moment when True Mother asked me my name, in the kitchen. I was then invited in to sit together, I believe it was just 8 people all together. It was the memorial day of True Father’s release from Heung Nam prison and True Father spoke with tears. Jung Sook and I continue to keep in touch and share beautiful memories of that time. My deep love and prayers go out to Jung Sook, her brother, Jin Duk, and to her husband and daughter. Prayers for a beautiful settlement in your eternal home, Col. Han.

I am sorry that I missed this memorial service for Col. Han. For a time during the late 1970s and 1980s I communicated regularly with Col. Han during the time he was working on a business degree (from Pace University?) and as he led Ginseng Up. He was a fanatic believer in True Parents, it was hard to get him to talk about anything else. He drove me crazy, when there were so many issues to be addressed, all he wanted to talk about was True Father. That is where his heart was. All of his love, thoughts and hopes centered on True Father.
