Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) offers semester-long internships here at Family Federation headquarters in New York City.
The Design Team is offering a Graphic Design Intern Program this summer. This internship is one of the most popular programs we offer. It is designed to give candidates exposure and training to all of Adobe Creative Suite software such as Photoshop and InDesign. Candidates will be working on projects like designing logos and print material for events, merchandise, photo albums, calendars, web design and more. “Candidates will learn authentic studio skills and how to work with tight deadlines,” says Publications Director Jonathan Gullery.
We want to invite young adults to participate in the important work done here at FFWPU headquarters, and give them the opportunity and environment to connect with brothers and sisters who are passionate about True Parents and God’s love.
Not sure if an internship at FFWPU is right for you? That’s what our current Editorial Intern, Adeline, thought. “When I first applied, I wasn’t sure if this internship would teach me enough.” In fact, when asking Adeline how she feels about her internship so far, she said, “I feel like I’m really contributing to the organization and getting real work experience.”
Some past interns reflected on their time here and said the experience has helped them in the long run. Yoshie Manaka, who was a student at the time of her internship, says, “The Editorial internship was very good for me as a college student because it helped my writing. It made me stop second-guessing myself. I learned how to get things done and changed my writing style altogether.”
Takayoshi Sugawara, a past Graphic Design Intern who currently works with the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP), says, “I still use the skills I learned as an intern in my work today with CARP. . . . many of my past colleagues at the time, along with past interns, have gone on to get great jobs and even start their own design companies.”
Internships with our Media Team are another popular option, and there are many other departments at FFWPU headquarters where a candidate can seek internship opportunities.
Are you a student passionate about sharing True Parents’ words? Ask about internship opportunities within the Education Team or with TribeNet. Passionate about supporting our Blessed Central Families? Intern with the Blessing and Family Ministry. If you like numbers, apply within the Accounting and Finance Team. Studying administration? Apply within Human Resources or the Legal Team. If there is not a current internship listing in your field of study, send us your resume and we may be able to find one for you.
“We enjoy having interns here because they are full of fresh ideas,” says Jonathan Gullery.
“Our past interns have done great work in helping us organize important documents of the history of the Unification movement,” says Olga Majtova, Assistant Director of Legal Affairs.
Thus, if you are a current college student or recent graduate looking for a productive and exciting way to spend your summer, Family Federation headquarters invites qualified candidates to join us. Spend the summer in the midst of the amazing city of New York to display your talent and develop your skills while giving back to the community.
Programs can be full-time or part-time internships, most are based in the FFWPU headquarters offices in midtown Manhattan. Interns are responsible for their own room and board. Stipends are offered.
Available programs will be posted regularly, or simply send us your resume.
