Enroll at BIA for the Fall Semester
Applications are now available for Bridgeport International Academy (BIA) for the 2019-2020 school year!
BIA is a firmly established, family-oriented, private college preparatory school located on the University of Bridgeport (UB) campus on Long Island Sound in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Second-generation Unificationists and students from around the world attend.
There are many benefits to attending BIA: the staff loves and cares for the students, the environment is exceptionally safe (UB is the safest university in Connecticut three years and running), and the school has an active partnership with UB. A contract with UB allows students complete use of their facilities, including the library, the performing arts center, the gymnasium, the cafeteria, science labs, and more. Qualified juniors and seniors can also participate in a dual enrollment program where they take college classes and earn transferable credits.
BIA has dorms for out-of-state and international students which are supervised 24/7 by a residential life coordinator couple. A team of six residential life advisors, composed of recent BIA graduates attending UB, also live with the students. Some of the BIA teachers are also residential life coordinators, seamlessly combining dorm life and school life. This wonderful system creates a nurturing, familial environment.
Other benefits of attending BIA include: small class sizes, English-learning programs, rigorous academics, opportunities to expand global perspectives and excellent college placement services.
Classes start on August 21 and conclude on May 31. The school is closed for Winter Break from December 21 to January 5, but for all other holidays and breaks the students may remain at school or take personal trips if given permission from their parents.
If you wish to enroll we will need your application by June 1– dorm space is limited, so please apply right away!
