Stories of My Life: The Search for True Love
Elisabeth Seidel, a Unificationist from France who now resides in Red Hook, New York, recently released her powerful memoir, Stories of My Life: The Search for True Love, edited and translated by Jennifer Tanabe. The book brings to life the story of a young Unificationist, and eventual wife and mother, through a collection of beautifully woven journal entries, prayers and letters.
“Beautiful and intricate details of their journey have been so well-researched,” shared one reader. “Elisabeth has shared a life-work which must have been a joy to remember and to write. Her life story could serve as a model for anyone trying to write their own story.”
The memoir details Mrs. Seidel’s journey as an early Unificationist in France and the United States and her encounters with Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founders of Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU). In the later portions, Mrs. Seidel describes her Marriage Blessing to Dietrich Seidel, the establishment of their family in Canada, and their efforts to reconcile the former enemy nations of their ancestors━France and Austria/Germany.
“The highlight of the book is her testimony to the love that she and her husband shared and continue to share, though he has passed into the spiritual world,” said another reader. “Her experiences with her husband tell the reader that there is such a thing as true love and that it is a vital part of her relationship with God.”
The book is available for purchase on Amazon and on their website.
