Unificationists Pack Lunch for the Homeless in Las Vegas
Unificationists in Las Vegas helped pack 200 lunches on October 25 as part of a service project led by the Family Education and Empowerment Foundation (FEEF), a local non-profit organization whose mission is “to empower and uplift families through education.”
The volunteers spent over an hour preparing bags filled with snacks, fruit, sandwiches and water at the Las Vegas Family Church. They then spent the rest of the day handing out all 200 bags to the homeless at the local Salvation Army Center.
The participants were full of joy and hope after the experience. “This was a simple activity but it touched many people’s hearts,” said one participant. “We learned a lot about ourselves through this.” Organizers hope to do more projects like this in the future and especially welcome more volunteers.
