Background
Hideyuki Sakai was born in Japan in 1957. At the age of 19, he met the Unification movement through CARP Japan. In the 1982 Blessing of 6000 couples, he was blessed in marriage to Toyoko. Shortly after, they moved to America to serve as missionaries with CARP America. Rev. Sakai attended Unification Theological Seminary (UTS) from 1995-2000, and moved to the state of Wisconsin to serve as the State leader. His family lived there for six years from 2000-2006, until he was appointed as the State leader of Texas, then his family moved to Dallas. Rev. Sakai continues to serve as both the State leader of Texas and the District 10 Pastor. He is passionate about raising the younger generation in Divine Principle lecturing, and teaching lessons on True Parents’ course.
