Unificationists in Kansas Share Food and Faith
Unificationists in Kansas gathered with guests of various faiths for a unique program on Sunday, October 5, at the Kansas City Family Church. “Food and Thought – an Interfaith and Intercultural Conversation” is a joint program of the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council and Cultural Crossroads. It is an ongoing year-round dialogue, hosted quarterly in turn by different faith communities. All gatherings include the sharing of simple foods and conversation within a diverse group.
About 30 people, including individuals representing Jewish, Christian Science, Mahikari religion, Divine Love, Baha’i Faith, Oasis and other Christians, and Unificationists, met for the gathering on Sunday. Assistant Pastor Rev. Bill Dillinger gave an inspiring talk about True Father’s life, the essence of Divine Principle and the Holy Marriage Blessing. Along with a wonderful pot luck dinner, there were many questions and a vibrant conversation.
It was an interesting and informative afternoon of sharing, and participants look forward to attending more in the future.
