We are Chosen to Guide this Nation
October 2, 2020
Where is God’s Will to be found during this political season? It’s easy for us to become fixated on a particular party view, platform, or candidate, so we have to remember that God and True Parents are the center, not the President of the United States, and certainly not any particular party or political view. The president’s responsibility is to attend our Heavenly Parent and True Parents.
Regardless of who sits in the oval office over the next four years, our responsibility doesn’t change. Our responsibility is to guide this great nation to fulfill its God-given destiny. True Mother stated it clearly in her address during the last Rally of Hope. She reminded us that America has been blessed by God, and on the foundation of 400 years of Christianity, America must stand up and share its blessings with the world. So what is the Greatest blessing that America has received?
In our opinion, the greatest blessing that this nation has received is True Parents. They lived here for over 50 years and offered everything here. That was not just because America is special, it is because America has a special mission to accomplish.
The first thing we must do is understand providential timing. Based on that we can identify the essential criteria for success. So what are the most important providential points we have been focused on?
- The reunification of Korea
- Strengthening Christianity in America centered on the American Clergy Leadership Conference that is guided by True Parents.
This is what we are looking for right now above all else. If America is successful in these two areas, all of the other challenges we face can be far more easily resolved.
Therefore, no matter who wins the election, it will be our responsibility to make sure that the next American president and the government of the United States supports these two providential criteria. We should vote according to our conscience and remain committed to do our part to guide the nation accordingly.
Last year, Yumiko and I and the kids (and Dallas), along with our sub-regional directors and district and state pastors and family members, quietly participated in a national prayer tour visiting the memorial sites of every American president, praying for support and cooperation for America to fulfill her destiny.
Next, as a nation, we offered the necessary conditions to liberate and bless them, along with all the couples who arrived on the Mayflower as representatives of the early Christian pilgrims.
Yesterday, at 12 a.m. on October 1, a few of us quietly gathered in the main house at Belvedere, to celebrate Chuseok. We felt called to do this at a national level to invite our former presidents and pilgrim fathers to bless and guide America during this political season.
As blessed family members, let us pray our way through this time and root our actions in God’s Will, for we are uniquely Chosen to do so.
God Bless you,
Demian & Yumiko Dunkley

Let us participate in the voting process to guide the nation, and let us root it in our prayers to find God’s point of view. Allowing God to guide us is like a condition so that our leaders can be humble for God to guide them. God Bless you all.

Thank you for sharring this level-headed guidance. Our prayers should be to find a president that will be willing to meet with out True Mother and listen to her guidance, support Blessed Families and uphold the standards of a God-centered, Headwing ideology.
