On Saturday, February 29, the Washington, D.C. Family Church partnered with the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) to organize a prayer breakfast at Jehovah Christian Ministries in Capitol Heights, Maryland. More than 80 people attended the event hosted by Rev. Jesse Paul Clay of Jehovah Christian Ministries and his wife.
Keynote Speaker Rev. Ronald Greenfield of the Pilgrim Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., who attended the Peace Starts With Me Clergy Rally and the launch of the World Clergy Leadership Conference in December, delivered a powerful message about unity. “This prayer breakfast was a true reflection of what God revealed to John in the Book of Revelation; a gathering of different nations and tongues,” shared Rev. Greenfield after the event. “The willingness of ACLC to embrace this local church despite denominational differences is a testament to its great work.”
The prayer breakfast concluded with a performance by the Washington, D.C. Family Church Children’s Choir and a Blessing Ceremony. “This was my first introduction to ACLC and I felt the spirit of the Lord in this place,” said Rev. Larry D. Vaughn, pastor of the Church of Restoration. “I could really feel the theme of family and unity.
