Our National Youth Ministry Welcomes Kaeleigh Moffitt!

The Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) USA National Church is pleased to announce that Kaeleigh Moffitt will be serving as the National Youth Ministry Coordinator. Kaeleigh, a ten year veteran of Youth Ministry in Maryland, will begin her new role on October 1, 2014.
“Youth Ministry is something close to my heart”, said Kaeleigh. “A lot of people don’t understand the critical role that youth ministry plays in a young person’s life. I have been a firsthand witness to life changing experiences through youth ministry. I’ve had a front row seat to the first time that youth realized God is their loving parent. These experiences forever leave a mark on the hearts of young people, and are the foundation upon which they can be successful in their life of faith after high school.”
As Youth Ministry Coordinator, Kaeleigh will be working with ministry leaders around the country who are in charge of programs for pre-teens and teens. She plans to spend time getting to know each of them, “as well as their unique ministries. My focus is to provide practical resources on a weekly basis that empower local ministries to be successful. Most of these youth pastors are full time students or have full time jobs. It can be difficult for them to do research and find inspiring readings and videos or fun games and activities. I’d like to help do some of the nitty-gritty work for them so that they can do the more important work, which is being an example and loving those in their care.”
Kaeleigh is also planning monthly webinars as a way to create a strong base of communication across far distances. Training opportunities will take place during periodic national programs but regular communication via Zoom and e-newsletter will help the local areas develop their own strengths at home. Down the road, organization of a mentoring system involving parents will provide valuable support for Youth Ministry leadership as well.

Kaeleigh and her husband, Dave, are new parents, welcoming their daughter, June, just four months ago. Said Kaeleigh, “Doors have opened up for me in the last months since I had a baby and my husband started work as a Physical Therapist. As I began throwing the idea around [of working in a national role] with others in my close circle, it became clear that this was an ideal path for me to take—one that would allow me to feel personally fulfilled, and would also provide resources for others working in the field.”
”I have three goals for this next school year: establish a sense of unity of heart nationwide, provide practical resources, and create local spiritual empowerment for youth pastors.”
Welcome Kaeleigh! We look forward the developments of Youth Ministry which your warmth and wisdom will bring!
