On Saturday, January 18, Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU), Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), and Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Western Canada held a high-spirited and joyous seventh annual celebration for the birthdays of Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, co-founders of FFWPU and affectionately known as True Parents. More than 200 Unificationists, religious leaders and guests attended the celebration, which was held at the Vancouver Airport Hilton Hotel in Richmond, British Columbia.
The event featured a number of dynamic messages, including Rev. Steve Pecarsky, community leader of FFWPU Vancouver, who spoke about the Divine Principle, Rev. Jean DeDieu, pastor of Kindness Church of God in Vancouver, who discussed taking action in a war-torn and desperate world, and Mrs. Christina Lee Kambashi, chairperson of WFWP Western Canada, who shared about her Marriage Blessing experience and how True Parents transformed her life. Mrs. Angelika Selle, president of WFWP North America, gave the main message titled “My True Parents: A Love Story,” in which she shared about her deep, personal experiences with True Parents and their profound teachings. She also discussed the dawning era of femininity and how women are needed to nurture and heal the world completely.
Then, a Blessing Ceremony was held for participating guests, officiated by Mrs. Kambashi and her husband Rev. Katsumi Kambashi. Many of the attending guests come every year to celebrate True Parents’ birthday, often bringing new friends who express their amazement at the power of True Parents and their worldwide movement for peace.
