Testimonies from scholarship recipients
“My dream is simple: to help the youth or the younger generation be proud of God and True Parents. When asked what they believe in, they will confidently talk about their relationship with God and True Parents. To create such an environment where the members feel empowered to share about the heart of God and True Parents and bring their friends to events and activities is my dream.”
“My dream is to become a global leader who can connect to God and True Parents’ heart through the teachings of the Divine Principle and by practicing true love. One of my ambitions is to attend the Universal Peace Academy (UPA) in Korea. I think that my motivation in having the thought of attending UPA is connected to my experience with the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) and with True Parents. It was through CARP that I experienced a spiritual revival and acknowledged the existence of God, our Heavenly Parent, and connected with the heart of True Father and True Mother. I consider CARP to be my spiritual home and the foundation that I stand upon today. Without discovering CARP, I don’t know where I’d be. When I graduate from CARP and my university, I want to take with me everything that I’ve learned about what it means to live for the sake of others and to practice true love.”
“I was once told by Rev. Kevin Thompson that my life is God’s gift to me, and what I do with my life is my gift back to God. I know, without a doubt, that a life lived for the sake of others would bring God immense joy. My vision and hope is to live a life in which I can help others through engineering that will drastically change people’s lives for the better, and bring joy to God.”
