True Mother’s Message at the 2019 Rally of Hope for Local Community Leaders in the Yeongnam Area in Support of a Heavenly Unified Korea

Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, affectionately known as True Mother, gave the main address at the 2019 Rally of Hope for Local Community Leaders in the Yeongnam Area in Support of a Heavenly Unified Korea on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Changwon Exhibition Convention Center.

Beloved local community leaders, Ambassadors for Peace and all members! I love you all!

Today I wish to share a message titled “The Mission of the Chosen People.”

The people of Korea were selected as the chosen people 2,000 years ago in order to complete God’s providence. Even in today’s world, when a friend or another person does a favor for us, our conscience urges us to repay it. God chose and raised the Korean people for 2,000 years and has been leading the providence to prepare them for this time. For 2,000 years, Korea has encountered many ups and downs. Whenever Korea went through difficulties, God opened a way. So today the Korean people should be grateful and seek to return glory to God. We must clearly understand providential truth and historical truth.

God the Creator made all things in His image. And lastly, He created a man and a woman to become humankind’s first ancestors. God had them go through a growth period. During that period, they were to be in a position of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience toward Heaven. They were to have matured until God could say to them, “Oh, now you have reached perfection.” Instead, what happened? Human beings’ greed has brought about this fallen world in which humankind has no relationship with God. For this reason, all humankind until now has been tirelessly seeking goodness. The world has four great religions. However, Christianity is the religion that explains the history of God’s providence of salvation.

The Lord of Creation is omniscient and omnipotent. He is the beginning and the end. He can’t fail. On the other hand, because God gave responsibility to human beings, a true human ancestor should emerge, to whom God may say, “You’ve fulfilled your responsibilities.” That is why, 2,000 years ago, God chose the people of Israel and led them through the providence of salvation and restoration through indemnity from the individual level to the national level. How difficult must this road have been for it to take 4,000 years? After 4,000 years, He sent the Messiah, Jesus Christ, whom the Israelites had long awaited. However, what happened? Many prophets, as well as John the Baptist, had come, but the Israelites still could not fathom Jesus’ true essence. They did not understand God the Creator’s true essence either. They sent Jesus to the cross because he was different from them. Jesus, who had no choice but to go the way of the cross, promised that he would come again.

In the 2,000 years of the Christian providence since Jesus promised to return, many mistakes have been made in Christianity’s name. Due to their own misguided, self-centered thoughts, they treated him as a heretic and drove him out because his thoughts were different from theirs. This should not have happened. How is it that communism, which claims that God is dead, could emerge from a Christian foundation of those who believe in God? This is inconceivable. We [Koreans] bear the pain that democracy and communism caused us in the Korean War. Therefore, we can conclude that a peaceful world cannot be realized through human-centered thoughts and actions.

Then, what should we do? We must understand clearly the essence of God, the Creator and True Owner of the universe. God’s ideal of creation was to become the True Parent of humanity through the first human beings. However, due to Adam and Eve’s failure to fulfill their responsibilities, the history of the providence of salvation began. God will not again use the chosen people who did not fulfill their responsibilities. God had sent Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son, through the people of Israel. When we look at God’s principle of creation, it consists of a man and a woman. So, God had to find a people through whom the Only Begotten Daughter could be born. In that respect, God worked His providence so that His Only Begotten Daughter could be born among the Korean people based on their Christian foundation. This is evidence that God is working with us [Koreans].

I was born in 1943. Korea’s liberation came in 1945. The Korean War broke out in 1950, a time when the democracy in the South was not prepared to confront the North. For the first time in 6,000 years, God brought forth His Only Begotten Daughter who is to bring about the completion of His providence. However, He had to give the Only Begotten Daughter a growth period. We [Koreans] witnessed God’s love during the Korean War. How is it that 16 UN member nations were mobilized to help this small nation that was unknown to the world? This was not thanks to our human efforts. This was thanks to God. God has made all the necessary preparations to fulfill the providence. Now, what remains is for human beings to fulfill their portion of responsibility.

God wants to complete His providence through this nation. The Korean people must take the initiative in fulfilling the responsibility of realizing the dream of one family under God which humanity has longed for. Christianity, in particular, must wake up and stand at the forefront in fulfilling these responsibilities. We can wait no longer. Through the completion of the providence, seven years ago I proclaimed Cheon Il Guk, the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth, centering on Heavenly Parent. However, the Korean people must wake up. God chose them. God blessed them. Therefore, they must repay this grace that God has bestowed upon them. They should fulfill their responsibilities by uniting with the True Parents, who are realizing the dream of one human family.

What remains is for them to fulfill their responsibilities and become a shining light for the world. The Korean people should not continue to be unfilial toward Heavenly Parent, who has been enduring and waiting for so long. Only when the Korean people become true filial sons and daughters who return God’s love and grace, can this country become a central nation of the world. Especially leaders—local community leaders and Ambassadors for Peace who have come to this rally— should now stand boldly before the truth. Please remember that this is the only path for this nation and the people of this nation to survive.

May the heavenly nation of Gyeongsang be the first to proudly stand on the front line in offering this nation to Heaven together with True Mother, the Only Begotten Daughter.
