Seattle Family Church Meets New KEA Tacoma Pastor

On September 15, the Seattle Family Church joined the Korean Evangelical Association (KEA) in Tacoma, WA, braving a heavy downpour of rain, to come together to welcome the new KEA pastor, Rev. Jinwook Lee, in a joint Sunday service.

Rev. Lee gave a sermon titled, “The Moments That I Experienced Heavenly Parent,” where she shared a heartfelt testimony about facing and overcoming challenges with the Marriage Blessing in the past, and as a result becoming closer to Heavenly Parent. Her story of love, sadness, hope, faith and determination moved many people to tears. Rev. Lee also spoke of meeting her husband, Kisoo Chae, and receiving the Marriage Blessing to him on September 7, 2017, in Korea.

“We came here to welcome and learn more about our new KEA Pastor, as well as to worship together with our Korean brothers and sisters, and I think we’ve achieved that,” said Nelson Mira, pastor of the Seattle Family Church. “On behalf of the Seattle Family Church, I am very grateful for you welcoming us and I hope that we can all work together to support our True Mother.” The term True Mother is often affectionately used by Unificationists when referring to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.
KEA Tacoma hosted the joint service at their newly upgraded church building, enhanced with new roofs, new wooden floors, and a fresh coat of paint — adding to the warm, welcoming spirit. The event also featured a testimony from Mr. David Wolfenberger, who shared stories from his and his wife Mitsue’s High Noon Tour in Korea. Everyone in attendance enjoyed and appreciated hearing about his experiences.

I’m so happy that the church communities could get closer to each other in this way. I truly wish I could have been there!
