Women in Ministry Host True Family Values Seminar in Washington, D.C.
On July 27, a group of clergy members and Ambassadors for Peace gathered for the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) Women in Ministry (WIM) True Family Values Seminar in The Washington Times Beech Room in Washington, D.C.
Minister Reiko Jenkins, National Co-Chairwoman of ACLC WIM, welcomed the group and introduced the True Family Values program. Dr. Patra Kidwell Rolle of God’s Ministry International began the seminar by discussing “God’s Original Ideal,” where she described the three great blessings. She stated that this was “God’s original plan:” Individual perfection, expanding to God-centered families and a world filled with God-centered people taking care of creation, thus bringing about the long-awaited Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.
Dr. Glovinia Williams, founder of Collegiate Training Institute, presented next, answering the question on everyone’s mind: What went wrong? Her talk covered the Human Fall. She said, “The question is how did things such as the basis of sin, the Fall and evil and Hell come into being? We must think back to the time of Adam and Eve. If we explore the origin of why they fell, it was that they disbelieved God’s Word.”
Following these two moving presentations, ACLC Youth in Ministry was launched. Ambassador Star Williams of Life Enrichment Ministries spoke on her work with youth. She said that we must give young people hope and a way to create a healthy legacy. Mrs. Kaeleigh Moffitt, National Youth Ministry Coordinator for Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU) USA, talked about her challenging yet fulfilling work with youth in the US. She said, “It is important to understand that you can love someone without agreeing with everything they say or do.” She continued, “The most important thing is to love. This made me a better mom, wife, and daughter.” Her work in youth ministry has grown her heart a lot and realized that teenagers are “what they feel.” “They need an authentic expression of truth,” she added.
Dr. Michael Jenkins, Chairman of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) USA, appointed 14 new Ambassadors for Peace.
Following a delicious lunch and a dynamic musical selection, Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., Co-chairman of ACLC, gave the keynote address. He spoke with passion and spirit about the awesomeness of human beings who are created in the image of God. He said, “We all want to see God, but the image we seek is compromised, compartmentalized, co-mingling God and evil; evil being the one who wants to bring down the Kingdom of God.” He concluded by saying, “Jesus had to come to restore what Adam lost. But we can’t understand Jesus without understanding Adam and Eve’s mission and mistakes. We can’t understand Father and Mother Moon without understanding Jesus.”
Rev. Ernest Patton, Southeast Subregional Director, and his wife, Keiko, led a toast to marriage, and Dr. Massimo Rolle and Dr. Kidwell Rolle prayed for God’s blessing for all married couples. Afterward, the guests watched a Peace Starts With Me video and learned of True Mother’s upcoming events.
“Everything was so exciting and inspiring to the last minute of the program,” said Minister Jenkins.
Mrs. Angelika Selle, President of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) USA, concluded the seminar by advising everyone who attended that working together to achieve future goals is essential.
