Seiko Lee Benefit Concert in Hawaii
On March 1, Seiko Lee, a gifted Japanese soprano, performed at a benefit concert hosted at the Hawaiian Queen Coffee Garden in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii along with the ‘A ‘Ala Mau Hula Ballet dance troupe from Japan.
Seiko Lee performed a variety of songs including “One Fine Day,” “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” and a few Hawaiian songs as well. The ‘A ‘Ala Mau Hula Ballet followed and gave an outstanding performance and introduced a new type of dance called “Hula Ballet.” The audience loved the concert and gave a sincere standing ovation.
The concert benefited a local non-profit group called Fukushima Kids Hawaii who help children from Fukushima, Japan visit Hawaii to escape the ongoing radiation caused by the 2011 Japan earthquake.
Seiko Lee harbors a deep concern for world peace through the Seiko Lee Project, a non-profit organization for numerous causes including Syrian refugee aid, encouragement for medical patients, pink Ribbon Aid and the building of schools in Africa.
