GPA’s Mission: Cultivate a Loving Heart to the World
Generation Peace Academy (GPA) has been busy all over the world! On top of the GPA Cheon Il Guk missionaries in Peru, Dominican Republic, Scotland, Costa Rica, and Czech Republic for five months, more GPA students traveled overseas to Peru, Paraguay and the Dominican Republic for 21 days.
For the first few days, GPA spent time sightseeing and dedicating their hearts to the beautiful countries and cultures. They also met up with the local Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP) chapters and bonded over dancing and games. The Dominican Republic team took a three-day hike to connect with Heavenly Parent and experience the beautiful country. They pushed through the difficult terrain together and came out a stronger team.
The Paraguay team jumped out of their comfort zone and began witnessing. They educated middle school and high school students from the Colegio Nacional de E.M.D. education center about the importance of pure love through ice breakers and skits.
The Peru team joined with CARP Peru and began fundraising in a fruit market. They received monetary donations as well as fruit donations, which they later donated to a local senior care center. The following day, the Peru team walked the streets of Lima and cleared the telephone poles of old flyers and planted 50 trees at a community park.
