Rev. Buessing Joins GPA Kick-Off: Part 2

Generation Peace Academy (GPA) returned to the Unification Theological Seminary (UTS) for their Part 2: Kick-Off workshop from September 24 to 28. After a week of fundraising since the first Kickoff workshop, hearts were opened and minds were humbled. The three-day Divine Principle workshop was designed for new first-year participants to begin framing their fundraising and training experiences through the lens of the Divine Principle, and to get an overview of the entire Principle. The participants experienced giving lectures, joining in discussions, question and answer sessions, and plenty of time for self-study.

On the third and final day of the workshop, Rev. Richard Buessing, President of Family Federation for a Heavenly USA, and his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Buessing arrived at UTS to give a powerful lecture on the Purpose of the Messiah, bringing many in the audience to tears. He also connected the lecture contents to an explanation of the Christian foundation that Heavenly Parent prepared in America to accept our True Parents, and explained the significance of the November 12 rally to be held in New York, which all GPA members will attend.

The workshop was also blessed with a visit from Naokimi Ushiroda who shared his testimony of how his three years on Special Task Force (STF) were crucial in instilling in him a sense of God’s will. It is based on that foundation that he has become the National Director of Youth and Students Ministry.

With the conclusion of the Part 2: Kick-Off workshop, GPA students have headed out on their first 12-day fundraising commitment to apply all they have learned.
