IPEC Retreat Opens Opportunities for God to Work
Report submitted by Mi Young Eaton, Education Coordinator, FFWPU USA.
The education team at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) has just completed their 28th 7-day Divine Principle Retreat.
This most recent seminar from August 15 to 21 came right after the very successful Hyojeong Divine Principle and True Parents’ Life Course Conference in July. In his reflections on the two different workshops, Rev. Andrew Compton, director of education at IPEC commented, “Although [the August retreat] was a different experience, as always hearing the Divine Principle and True Parents’ life course affects everyone in a deep way.”
The August participants were all different ages and have had different experiences in faith and life; but somehow the attendees testified that they were able to walk away with insights and experiences of genuine and personal value to them.
“Going to a 7-day retreat at IPEC is like setting aside time and creating space for God to speak into one’s life. God has demonstrated to me time and again that he is magnanimous enough to be able to meet me and each of us uniquely, whatever situations, challenges, joys, or questions we may be bringing to him in the lectures, the trips, and even the conversations we have over our meals together,” said Mi Young Eaton, Educational Coordinator for Family Federation for World Peace.
In 2015, IPEC started offering monthly 7-day Divine Principle retreats even up to this day. If you find yourself in need of refreshment or renewal, whether of mind, body, heart, or spirit, sign up for a 7-day retreat!
