Philadelphia Family Church Partners Up with SPEAK
The Philadelphia Family Church partnered up with the local non-profit organization SPEAK (Staying Positive Equals Amazing Kids) to sponsor four elementary and middle school teens to be on an unprecedented Aviation program for underprivileged teens on June 6. The aviation initiative was to encourage teens from low-income neighborhoods to endure on an aviation course to become solo flight pilots by 16-years-old and ultimately becoming commercial airline pilots by 21-years-old.
Philadelphia Pastor Shota Iwasaki met with four parents and their children who were to receive in-air flight instructions. Pastor Iwasaki spoke a few words acknowledging the SPEAK organization and their program to the parents of the children.
One of the Philadelphia ministry’s core missions was to contribute to the local community. The work of the Tribal Messiahs was to win the hearts of youth, social leaders, and families in the community through serving and contributing resources for the sake of building a healthier neighborhood. They felt creating a partnership with a non-profit organization was an effective way to achieve the core mission.
