The Age of the Wife

Welcome to True Parents Way!

True Parents Way begins a new blog series, “The Age of the Wife.” Jesus returned as prophesied, through a man with a new name, Sun Myung Moon. He declared the coming of “the age of the wife.” He established the foundation for God’s marriage Blessing with a woman of righteousness, Hak Ja Han. But the prophecy for this event was vague: “the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Christians never conceived this would be a real wife, a messianic woman. Ex nihilo—out of nothing, True Mother began her course.

This week’s video is entitled, “In True Parents, Divorce Disappears.” On God’s Day of 1977, True Father made a bold proclamation about God and True Parents. First, about God: “When you go to spirit world, you not only have a Heavenly Father but also a Heavenly Mother.” Second, about man and woman: “Adam and Eve are the manifestation of the duality of God, the two essentialities of God manifested as two persons.” Third, about himself and True Mother: “When you pray hard or when you have spiritual experiences …not only I appear but also Mother. …You can feel that Mother and I are truly living with you in person.”

Our Holy Marriage Blessing podcast is entitled, “Predestination of Marriage.” We all choose freely whom we are going to marry. Or do we? Is marriage a matter of personal attraction, chemistry, the alignment of tastes, styles and preferences? Is whom you marry meant to be decided by your parents, family, religious community? Or is it in the hands of God, and He may work in either way, and no matter which way, your task is to fine tune your spiritual antennae to discover His plan—and realize that yes, it really IS His plan!
