Las Vegas Family Church Introduces the Blessing

Despite a temperature of 110 degrees Fahrenheit, over 50 guests came to Cheon Hwa Gung in Las Vegas on Saturday, June 23, to attend a Blessing Introduction Program. The program was hosted by thirteen volunteers from the Las Vegas Family Church (LVFC), and consisted of a brief introductory seminar followed by a BBQ dinner.
Rev. Andrew Compton delivered lectures that focused on two main aspects of the Blessing: the Blessing movement as a means to transform our society and world by creating a global network of God-centered families, and the impact of the Blessing on the lives of individual couples. He presented this content in a joyful and uplifting manner, which encouraged the guests to understand the value of becoming blessed couples.
The participants, who were culturally, racially and religiously diverse, were fully engaged throughout the introductory program. Afterward, many expressed their thoughts about the Blessing and were very grateful for the opportunity to attend this Blessing Introduction Program. Most of the guests were visiting Cheon Hwa Gung for the first time and were inspired by the beauty of the grounds, as were many of the children who enjoyed swimming in the pool to cool off from the Nevada heat.
Concluding the program was a delicious BBQ dinner. In addition to the hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda provided by the church, there was a wonderful potluck buffet of delightful dishes prepared by the LVFC volunteers. One volunteer commented, “It was hard work, but very gratifying. It feels good to be doing something directly connected with the Providence.” This Blessing Introduction Program would not have been possible without the efforts from these volunteers.
