True Parents’ Holy Wedding Anniversary Celebration with Regional Chairman

On Saturday, May 12, the Washington, D.C. Family Church shared the 58th True Parents’ Holy Wedding Anniversary with Regional Chairman of Family Federation, North America, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, who delivered the keynote address.

With over 120 people in attendance, it was a joyful celebration in which Dr. Kim reminded everyone that remembering True Parents’ Holy Wedding is a testament to who True Parents are. Since the day they officially became husband and wife, they have been working together in unity to fulfill God’s dream. With Dr. Kim’s message in their hearts, those in the audience then saw historical footage of the True Parents wedding from 1960. Other speakers from the celebration included Southeast Subregional Director Rev. Ernest Patton, who gave welcoming remarks, and Co-Chair of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) Dr. Michael Jenkins, who gave congratulatory remarks. The celebration featured entertainment from the Kirov Academy of Ballet and the Washington, D.C. Family Church Children’s Choir. One couple, a husband from Ghana and a wife from Nigeria, received the Marriage Blessing, renewing their vows and drinking the holy wine as Dr. Kim offered a prayer.

The next day for Sunday service, Dr. Kim gave the sermon, sharing True Parents’ heart with the congregation. He spoke on the importance on unity absolutely with True Parents, encouraging those in the audience to be selfless and live for God. It is through faith and love that we can achieve miracles for True Parents and the world, Dr. Kim said.
