Local Communities Celebrate True Parents’ Birthday
Happy True Parents’ Birthday! Around the world this week, Unificationists celebrated True Parents’ Birthday in their local communities. Here are some photos and stories of the regional festivities:
Fairfax, Virginia
The Unificationists of the Fairfax, Virginia were grateful to celebrate the birthday of the founders of the Unification movement on the morning of February 21. To express their gratitude and truly celebrate the presence of True Parents’ in their lives, they prepared a beautiful offering table. Pastor Werner Seubert led the celebration by reading words from True Father on the significance of the holy day. Following the service, the Unificationists brought joy to True Parents by enjoying the company of one another, all who were there because of their beloved True Parents.
Salt Lake City, Utah
Around 20 Unificationists of the Salt Lake Family Church as well as guests gathered on Saturday, February 17 at 11:00 am to celebrate the 51st Heavenly Parents Day, the 59th True Parents’ Birthday, and the 17th Anniversary of the Coronation of God’s Kingship. Pastor Michael Stovall led the ceremony by inviting a string quartet comprised of second-generation Unificationists to perform a waltz. Following their performance, the children’s choir sang a rousing rendition of “Unified Soldiers,” a Unificationist song. To top off the celebration, everyone enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch and family entertainment.
East Garden, NY
The Unificationists of New York celebrated True Parents’ birthday in spirit with True Mother in Korea, as they gathered at East Garden on the evening of February 20 to watch the live broadcast of the celebration in Korea. Seeing True Mother’s smile as she received the flowers and cut the birthday cake brought joy to the many Unificationists in attendance.
