Rev. David Rendel Inaugurated as Midwest Subregional Director
During Sunday service, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Continental Chairman of Family Federation, North America, delivered the sermon. He shared his personal testimony of attending True Mother in America, in Korea, and during the victorious African Summit, emphasizing her enduring love and grace.
After the worship service finished, Mr. Garrun Abrahams, District 6 Pastor, emceed the Inauguration Ceremony. Pastor Marian North from Milwaukee offered the representative prayer, followed by District 7 Pastor Rev. Jeff Schmidt’s introduction of the newly inaugurated Midwest Subregional Director, Rev. Rendel. For the past two years, Rev. Rendel served as an Itinerant Worker for the region. Flowers were presented to Rev. and Mrs. Rendel who received them representing True Parents.
Next, Rev. Rendel presented a moving address reflecting his dedication, love, and insightful viewpoint for accomplishing the responsibilities of Unificationists as they look toward the future. He encouraged everyone to consider the inauguration as their new beginning as we enter the new year with courage, commitment, and attendance to our True Parents.
Rev. Rendel acknowledged all the attending leaders and their families who traveled from far and wide, including eight states in the Midwest Subregion, and representatives from of the National Ministry Team. He then introduced his wife Agnes and daughter Sarah, who both offered heartfelt remarks to the audience.
The band and members performed a congratulatory song, followed by words of encouragement form Dr. Kim. He then offered a prayer of blessing, during which the entire congregation joined hands to bless Rev. Rendel and his family with this new responsibility.
Rev. Hyungtae Ha, District 8 Pastor, with a rousing cheer for a million years of victory, closed the event as everyone gathered for a congregational group photo.
