Do You Follow True Parents Way?

This week our blog series quickly describes three models for Cheon Il Guk—Catholicism, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and evangelical Protestantism. We can ask, in terms of governance, what difference would the Holy Marriage Blessing make to each of these? As we see this to be an immediate and practical question, we may learn from their stewardship of God’s vision.

In our Tuesday video, Masha Stoertz presents “The King of Heart.” Father Moon had aspirations for great results. But these results were meaningless unless they were based on heart. In John 6, when the crowd asked Jesus, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” they wanted to hear about great results. But Jesus talked about heart: “believe in the one he has sent… I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” So did Father Moon.

Our Holy Marriage Blessing podcast will explore True Father’s words on the family set forth in the Messages of Peace. “God’s ultimate purpose for creating human beings …is to experience joy through relating with ideal families filled with true love. He made Adam representing all men and Eve representing all women, with the intention that they become owners of true love [by securing] a parent–child relationship with God, whereby they could live in attendance of God as their Father and form a model family embodying God’s ideal of peace.”
