A Time for Miracles
On January 11, the National Ministry Team held its first monthly meeting of 2018, determined to create more miracles for the new year.
FFWPU USA President Rev. Richard Buessing opened the meeting with words from True Mother’s “God is the Origin of Peace” speech from her Realm of Life tour in 2002. After reading her words, Rev. Buessing reminded Unificationists, “We are not alone. We have so much support, not just in this world but from thousands of ancestors who can work with us every day.” He continued, “We should expect more miracles to happen because God is with us.”
Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, Continental Chairman of FFWPU, emphasized that in order to create these miracles for True Mother, we must fully commit to God’s will. He first invited Director of Blessing & Family Ministry Crescentia DeGoede, Secretary General of Universal Peace Federation (UPF) USA Rev. Ricardo de Sena, President of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) USA Angelika Selle, District 3 Pastor Rev. Manoj Jacob, and District 4 Pastor Rev. Chris Hempowicz to the stage to share about their recent experiences in Korea with True Mother.
Following the testimonies, Dr. Kim further explained why True Mother restructured the Unification Movement in America: “We did a good job last year, but God is not satisfied. We must have a new structure, a new commitment.” This new commitment, Dr. Kim revealed, is to change America by fulfilling True Parents’ vision for the nation. Teresa Rischl, President of the Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (CARP), detailed the miracles that have been happening for CARP nationwide. She first discussed the recent “Revival Starts with Me” rally in Los Angeles, where over 1,200 students went to the City of Refuge church to support the reunification of North and South Korea. “Turning Point,” CARP’s 7-Day Divine Principle workshop last month, was yet another miracle, with 30 guests as well as 90 young Unificationists participating. Co-Chair of the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) Dr. Michael Jenkins also provided an update on yet another recent miracle: the ACLC convocation in Las Vegas. Three of the five new sub-regional directors then described their experience in Korea, from their Christmas with True Mother and their visit to Yong Pyeong, home of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Northeast Sub-Regional Director Demian Dunkley gave a moment-by-moment presentation on their visit, which culminated with his fortified desire for everyone to become tribal messiahs for True Parents.
Midwest Sub-Regional Director Rev. David Rendel was in awe of True Parents’ investment into humanity: “We need to have that same heart of investment to bring victory to heaven,” said Rev. Rendel.
Southeast Subregional Director Rev. Ernest Patton then reminded the audience, “We are beginning 2018 on an incredible foundation: True Parents’ sincere love for all of humankind. This is where we can begin creating miracles.”
