The Universality of God’s Love
There were six participants at the latest weekend seminar at the International Peace Education Center (IPEC) in Las Vegas. On December 8, a guest hearing Divine Principle for the first time joined one young Unificationist from Seattle and four young-at-heart Unificationists from all over the United States to study with lecturer Rev. Andy Compton.
Trey, who is from Missouri and was new to the Divine Principle, contacted the National Ministry Team a week prior to the workshop saying, “It is my absolute desire to join the Unification movement.” After being put in touch with his local pastor, Trey immediately decided to attend the Divine Principle workshop at IPEC. During his time there, he was struck by the love between couples who receive the Blessing from True Parents. “It’s a little different than American marriage ceremonies, but seems more meaningful,” he concluded at the end of the workshop. “I came from a different church culture,” he added, “but a few things are common between us… most importantly, our belief in God’s love.”
“I can’t believe we learned so much in just two days,” said Kotone Narifusa, who graduated from the University of Washington this past June. “I got out of this workshop everything I came here for… I’m so glad God pushed me to come to this workshop and meet great people while learning His words,” she added.
“I did not think I would need another DP [Divine Principle] workshop,” said one Unificationist who had already read the Divine Principle several times over. “I must admit that this one has been very fruitful…. I was able to open my heart to the lectures in a way that I had never done before.”
Several of the participants remarked that they hope they can return to IPEC to hear Rev. Compton speak at the seven-day Divine Principle Seminar, where they’ll have even more time to explore True Father’s teachings.
