Dr. Ki Hoon Kim Brings Good News to Northwest

On a beautiful fall weekend in the U.S. Northwest, Dr. Ki Hoon Kim, continental chair of FFWPU North America and international vice president of FFWPU, visited the Seattle Unificationist community.

On October 29, Dr. Kim joined the Sunday service in Seattle and spoke with local blessed families about “Best Practices in the USA, 2017.” He started his presentation by saying, “This is a mid-year report of the best church activities in America. I reported this to True Mother and also at the international leaders’ assembly in Korea. I am glad that I also can talk about these points with you.”

During his presentation, Dr. Kim delivered inspiring news about events and activities that have taken place in the United States this year, such as True Mother’s successful rally at Madison Square Garden, the successes of tribal messiahs and the Marriage Blessing Movement, and the growth of youth education. All the Unificationist communities in Washington State—from Tacoma in the south to Bellingham in the north—participated in the Sunday service and received faith and hope in the growth of the Unification movement in America.

The day before, on Saturday, October 28, Dr. Kim had dinner with the Seattle Family Church Council and the community leaders at Windermere House near Lake Washington. He spoke about his recent experiences with True Mother and his heart in preparing for the Madison Square Garden event: “True Parents’ teaching is so clear. True love comes when we practice living for the sake of others. Every day I pray to be a good representative of Heavenly Parent and True Parents.”

Katie Howe, a Unificationist-born young adult who manages Windermere House, said afterward: “It was an update on how our movement is progressing, how things are going with True Mother. It was a great experience. Lots of people came—lots of first-generation and a few second-generation, and one third-generation Unificationist as well. It was a great turnout.” She continued, “What I’ve learned is all about my life and all about my church. It was also spiritual guidance.”
