Any kid will tell you, camping at Sunrise is awesome. That’s why we’re thrilled to provide even more opportunities for families to take advantage of this beautiful property. Camp Sunrise is well known for its outstanding overnight camps and day camps, but most people don’t know that Camp Sunrise is a fully licensed Family Camp, too.
Families are welcome to rent cabins for a night, a weekend or an extended stay. Our new affordable prices make it easy for large families with small children to enjoy the many amenities the camp has to offer! The camp is ideally located for use from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut (just 41 miles from midtown Manhattan). Yet it sits nestled in the Echo Mountains of Harriman State Park, between two spring-fed lakes, in a dense forest of fresh pine and deciduous trees. In this picturesque retreat, the noise and pollution of the city seem light-years away.
For an even more enjoyable time, make it an event and vacation together with other families! The outing will be a blast for the kids, and the adults will have more time to relax, renew friendships and enjoy nature.
Camp Sunrise also can be a powerful witnessing tool. Come with your small-group families, or with your neighbors. Bring your guests and create a special weekend, immersed in breathtaking nature, where one can experience God.
Last but not least, your use of Camp Sunrise will provide income enabling the camp to be available for our children and grandchildren. Another camp in Harriman State Park boasts over 90 years of continued use by the same organization. I am sure that if we use and support our local Camp Sunrise, we can beat that record easily!
