This Week on True Parents Way

True Parents Way blog begins with the one absolutely world-transforming virtue of parents: parents want their children to surpass them. This means that true parental love ends jealousy and envy. Let’s imagine that nations, races and religions were to adopt true parental heart and have joy when other nations, races and religions surpass them. Most assuredly, the world would be at peace.

In Tuesday’s video, “The Modest Messiah,” we explore Rev. Moon’s statement that just as the fallen Eve brought Adam to ruin, a representative woman, Eve, “must [bring] perfected Adam to the world.” Fifteen years later, he recognized Mrs. Moon as the representative woman: “By Mother taking leadership like this, she substantially came to stand right beside me. For me to go to the heavenly kingdom, both of us have to go together, and the children will have to follow after us. She accomplished the position of having perfected herself on the world level, and therefore we could finally proclaim the liberation of women throughout the world.”

Thursday is the UN’s “International Day of Peace.” That day’s Holy Marriage Blessing podcast shares why this should be the “International Day of Marriage,” because the oneness of husband and wife is the key to world peace. Genesis 2 proclaims this oneness as “bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh.” Rev. Moon explains what this means. We need to beat our swords not into ploughshares, but into wedding rings.
