Upcoming ACLC International Peace Conference in Korea
To continue the momentum of the interfaith gathering of “Peace Starts With Me,” a special peace conference for religious leaders will be held at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul from September 5 to September 10. True Mother is inviting American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) pastors, ministers, and other international religious leaders to further strengthen the Unificationist movement’s relationship with Christianity in Korea.
The meeting is building upon the historic visit of the 172 clergy members in 2011, when True Parents invited a group of 172 clergy to Korea, from various denominations to partner with them. Now, True Mother invites back the 172 clergy, along with other new clergy, to join their spiritual forces to bring unity and peace to the Korean peninsula.
The upcoming peace conference for religious leaders in Korea will coincide with the fifth anniversary of True Father’s passing in 2012. There will also be an international Marriage Blessing and Re-dedication for thousands of couples. Additionally, the conference will include a pilgrimage to Cheongpadong, Cheonbokgung and other various locations, as well as a peace march at Imjingak.
