Actualizing True Father’s Vision for Ocean Providence
On Sunday, June 25, the Ocean Church Center in Little Ferry, NJ hosted the first Ocean Hobby Seminar led by Hobby World Marine, a boat manufacturer based in the same town.
With a total of 16 participants, the event started off with a sushi and sandwich lunch followed by three short presentations about the ways in which Hobby World Marine and associated organizations are striving to actualize the vision that True Father created for Ocean Providence.
The first report, given by the company’s Vice President Hiroyoshi Fuwa, detailed the challenges and accomplishments in the boat building activities of their subsidiary, Acuamundo, located just outside of Asuncion, Paraguay. Hobby World Marine is investing in Acuamundo as a first step towards a larger plan to establish a model microeconomy in Asuncion that is based on a lifestyle centered on water-based activities.
The second report was presented by Alex Beebe, who is the Engineering and Logistics Manager at Hobby World Marine. This presentation introduced the near-term product vision and the Japanese market that the company is targeting for its initial growth plans. Alex related: “Much as Tesla and SpaceX have taken their industries by presenting an inspiring future, Hobby World Marine is resolved in its belief that Rev. Moon’s vision of a future ocean-centric lifestyle will be the catalyzing narrative of the marine industry.”
The third and last presentation was given by Minobu Joo introducing the International Ocean Fund which will begin developing and distributing educational content centered on the ocean. Accumulated funds will go towards supporting the development of Acuamundo and the model microeconomy in Asuncion.
The participants were grateful for the reporters’ efforts. Dr. Robert Beebe thanked the reporters saying, “It is good to see you substantially working and persevering to realize Father’s vision for Ocean Providence.”
