African Religious Leaders Unite for Peace Starts With Me
As the day approaches until True Mother’s upcoming speech at Madison Square Garden, 22 religious leaders of the African community gathered in Harlem on Saturday, July 8, to discuss the significance of the July 15 event. The gathering displayed once again that the universal desire for peace is greater than our differences, as African leaders of various faiths showed their support for the 2,000 Voice Choir, True Mother, and the Peace Starts With Me vision.
“The African community in New York is excited to celebrate peace with True Parents,” said Dr. Drissa Kone, a community leader in Tarrytown, NY who helped organize the gathering. “They want to be involved and want to hear True Mother’s message of peace. God is preparing them to hear True Mother’s message. They are open and want to know more.”
Similarly, the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) has been actively connecting with people of all religious backgrounds and inviting them to attend Peace Starts With Me. Notably, ACLC has promoted the event through the Christian Times. A digital copy of the latest edition can be found here!
