Monthly UPF Peace Forum Addresses Global Needs
A group of 21 persons gathered together on Thursday, March 23, in Seattle, WA for an event titled “What the World Needs Now.” The goal of the event was to consider the concepts and ideas contained in the first of the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) Principles of Peace lectures, “A Vision for Peace.”
After an excellent dinner with sharing by table, the group offered brief introductions to get to know each other better. Soon thereafter the group dove “heart-first” into the PowerPoint presentation for the evening. This presentation was based on original work by the UPF’s headquarters team, with edits by Mrs. Peggy Yujiri of UPF Colorado. The goal was not to educate exhaustively, but to hit the main ideas contained in this presentation. Using current approaches of modern media, which emphasizes on-screen images the presentation brought the event to a happy close.
